I agree 100 % and I am sure the BOM knows what an asset we have here.

It would be an odd move to make in the sense that if the RFL move to 2 divisions of 10, Castleford could well end up in the same division as Leigh.

He'd be crazy to go back there.

Ryan is a talented player and will receive offers from a number of SL clubs that's all credit to the guy and his progress at Leigh, at the end of the day he must take the deal best for him and his future, if that not be at Leigh then so be it he is enjoying his time at Leigh immensely and I know it will take an effort to leave the club he loves.
I for one and I have told him so will be sad to see him leave but I understand he is an ambitious young man who wants to play on the highest 'stage' that he can and for anyone to stand in his way would be an insult to the guy and his talents.

Totaly agree Fred but I think a move to Cas is wrong for Ryan. Where would they play him for a start? Ryan needs two more years to build himself up before he sets SL alight.

If he wants to go back we can't stand in his way, so maybe a straight swap for Jamie Ellis ????

No one is saying they want to stand in young Ryan's way of playing elite Rugby League. Far from it, He deserves to play at the highest level.

The question is are Castleford the right club for him to do that, given where he is now and which club it was that dumped him.

Come next season's restructure Castleford may not be playing in or at a higher level than he would do with Leigh.

IMO He would be badly advised to sign for Castleford. If I was him, I would see out this season and see what other options are available. Super League or otherwise.

But then what do I know?

What Leigh MUST do is ensure all our teams below the 1st team have only players contracted to Leigh (or non contracted).
Playing other teams players in our youth team must stop as we need to ensure if our players leave for money, full time careers or any other reasons that we have our own players ready and chomping at the bit to fill the void and they are used to our systems.

Well if he has you have just dropped the club and the lad right in the poop because nobody to my knowledge has given permission to anyone to talk to any of our players.

While we won't stand in the way of players as we've shown with Sam procedures need to be followed and posting on here won't help either club nor the lad.

Frank we do and I'm unaware of any offer and so is Steve Openshaw who I've just spoken with.

I saw Ryan at the 20s today and I believe Steve spoke with him and he didnt mention anything to him so it's buisness as usual and we have a final to look forward to.

While we won't stand in a players way we won't allow clubs to cherry pick our players at will!
