In relation to this bit (about the 31 year old new recruit for Wigan) that he "is likely to start his career in the 13-man game with either Leigh or the Scorpions, Wigan's two partnership clubs".......

It does seem unfortunate that the official SL websites journalist isn't seemingly fully upto date on the press release (I presume) Wigan did when announcing a 'partnership' with Leigh a month or so ago ?
The other thing is surely when speaking to Wigan head coach Shaun Wane the question will have been asked what was happening with Powell ?
Seems strange Wane didn't say 'he's staying at Wigan' or 'he's going on DR with South Wales'.

I refer you to my earlier post. He's too old to fit our D/C criteria; Wigan haven't said they want him to come to Leigh, nor will they - our agreement is specific on age requirements.

Alan, the fact that he is too old for DC will not make the slightest bit of difference to those that still feel the need to have a go at the earliest opportunity ! They don't want to know the facts or wait and see where he ends up before they have a go .
