I can't see how anyone can tell Paul a strong minded coach in his own right that he has to play certain players personally.

Thats exactly what im saying ,anyone who knows Paul will know he is his own man ,and i dont think anyone will tell him what to do , ive every faith in Paul .

I'd be worried if we had some Aussie in charge with no real connection or feelings for Leigh RL and it's community but Paul as Dick rightly stated came through the academy as it was then and was a product of our towns junior RL and while needing Wigans impetus to aid his first team plans won't jeopardise the long term pathway of our young lads.

He's not the type of lad to sell out to anyone and I genuinely feel he will manipulate the agreement with Wigan to suit himself and Leigh Centurions as he has the last couple of seasons.

Sorry Steve , you know what im like , as for your original question ?Yes i would accept 5 named players , but would it be feasible to name 5 players ?Steve i just want this all sorting out as soon as poss , ive enough problems as it is , you should try running the Poker or living at our house .

I think the only solution is to end it. Call me a Lobbite if you want but this is a merger via the back door. Once you lose your independence the heart of the club has gone. Look how it has divided the fans already. We all love the club and want the best but merging with Wigan (because that's what it is) isn't the answer. I would rather watch Leigh East/Miners now than set foot in the WSV again because personally I can't accept this.

When I win the Euromillions, I'm going to suggest a partnership with Wigan. I'm going to steal their young fan base, I'm going to filter through their young talent and take the best but they won't know I'm doing it until it is too late. They will think I'm doing it to help their club. You can tell Kris Radlinski because people think if he says it then it must be true, but don't tell anyone else because it's a secret. DUH!!!! :O)

Absolutely. This is huge, for so many reasons. Personally I`ll still be renewing my LISA membership, going along to the games, have a couple of pints and the odd pie, watch a game of rugby, cheer the lads on, maybe one day even I'll win the half time draw. Nothing changes for me. For others, what ever reason it will.

What changes is the number of fans who will be doing the same.

Playing opportunities will be offered for up to 5 players via a Dual Registration or Loan System Format. The preferred option would be to loan the players on a long term basis and there is an understanding between the two clubs that in reality only a maximum of 4 players will play each week.
2. All players that will be considered for this approach will be chosen by both clubs involved and each individual case will be decided by mutual consent.


So let me get this right,it seems they have agreed on 4 players each week and wigan will chose if we can play them that week or not,how is that independant for Leigh

Again i agree with everything here , except the pie part they are to well done for my liking , i prefer a Hot Dog , or something at the Whistling Wren , or Legends Bar first .

I think you have it wrong there Jeff , last week on Boots n All , John Kear was asked the same question about Duals they have with Huddersfield , and he said it didnt matter how many they have , or how many Hudds send , what matters is "If i Pick Them ", its up to JK , on that decision , and Paul Rowley will be no different , it will be up to him , not anyone from Wigan .

It says dc or loan.If they come on loan is that minimum month,witout recall ?.
I might except couple on loan for rest of season, two others to come on dc by mutual consent e.g we may need forwards one week,backs another.

What are the hints at the finance about? If we are taking loans at expense of players we already have ie letting them go to save money then I do not think that is acceptable and we are giving something away

PR is a smashing lad and I know he won't be dictated to by Wigan. On the other hand, what about when PR leaves one day. What if he is replaced by a coach from Wigan's set up? We will just be the full reserve side for Wigan.

When mergers were first announced everyone was up in arms about it. So they go away and rethink the idea and they bring it in over a few seasons when the Champ clubs are struggling financially. They know that their fan base will have dwindled and that they will be only to happy to merge.

It is so simple and instead of the uproar that mergers caused a few years ago, some fans are welcoming the merger with open arms. It is very easy to manipulate people when they are in fear of not having enough money.

A lot of people posting opinions on here don't actualy go to the matches or spend 1 penny keeping in touch with the club , they sit at home waiting for Fred to post the highlights and foraging about for any excuse not to go ...... just like they've always done
