That again is a great idea and will benifit our loyal 300 or so fans who travel away and are ST holders. brilliant



However my points are being ignored

what about our walk up fans that are being asked to pay 40% more than ST holder fans of other clubs ?
what about our fans that are being asked to pay £5 for there child to watch leigh yet away fans and other clubs ST holders children will get in for free?
why do leigh walk up fans have to pay £2 more because they have not prepurchased a ticket yet an away / other club ST holder can do the exactlysame and get a £6 / £8 reduction on the cost?

Walk up fans (the majority of our supporters i will add) will not benifit from any other club offers as they dont have a ST.

We need to target the people of Leigh! and turn them into loyal supports this i feel will leave a bitter taste in the mouth and deter exactly the people we NEED to attract to survive!

The points won't be ignored, if you ut them to the CEO/Board.

My point was my points are being ignored by people who are posting on this thread im trying to gauge opinion there is no right or wrong answer on this however i am raising my concerns re this idea and so far nobody has come up with anything that has addressed nor answered these

I have to agree with Saley, however the SL offer and maybe to Championship one fans too, but not to fans in our league, we are shooting ourselves in the foot.
We need to find way of getting more of the Leigh public through the turnstyle and Fetch Bob is not effective enough alone, why not have a match ticket book like Starbug suggested, where you can use it at any game and as many as you like ie you can use all ten if you convince 9 others in the pub to come along to the game. Make it £14 a ticket. A kids one at £40 for ten games
Fev are doing this simply to tick the boxes for their SL application, like Halifax they are playing the game now and like Halifax before them they are wasting their time, Toulouse or another similar club will be included next time, not Fax, Fev or us.

I know several fans who haven't renewed their season tickets this season for differing reasons ,one of which was the glut of thursday and friday games instead of Sunday, preferring instead to see what shift they were on on match day, now it appears the trick is to know someone who has a Wigan.Wire,Widnes, Saints, Salford or swinton season ticket and borrow theirs and then get themselves and their sprog in for a tenner, how very unfair ,there is enough cheating going on at the sports village as it is without us encouraging more of the same .every season it's the same old story we all rush to buy our season tickets early and then we find that the season hasn't even started properly and out come the freebies, I give up

I think people understand that the issue of getting bums on seats is not an easy problem to solve. I reckon most Leythers appreciate that at least the club are trying something, whether or not they agree or disagree with the process the club are using.

Like yuo Saley, I have my own ideas and will be getting in touch with Trevor with them, but if the club want to try and get people throught the gates this way, whether or not I agree or disagree, I will back it and that's why I posted on all the fans boards and tweeted about this offer.

The ONLY way it can work, is if the fans trust and support the club in it. If it fails, we try something else.

My idea that i'll be sending to Trevor is very similar to having a match ticket book...

I'd do a 'half season ticket', it would have half the amount of tickets that we have games. Then fans can pick and choose which games to attend.

I reckon a lot of fans would buy one. It's better for parents, shift workers and fans who can't afford a full season ticket and fans who can't tell which games they can and can't get to even when the fixtures are announced.

I think it's probably too late to do this season though. It should be done when the normal ST's are released, and with a proper discount applied, but not as big a discount as a full ST.
