Maybe the reason for the interviews is so the present board could decide if the applicant could bring anything new to the table' which incidentally is a question I would be asking of anyone applying.

I'm not pooh stiring but LISA must get a share, not a person on the board. If they are not getting a share then tell em to luvv it.
People on here are either very thick or totally uneducated if they do not know the difference between sitting on a board and being a shareholder.
Shareholding is transparent, I understood that was the offer, and if LISA have obtained/bought a share then it is the LISA members who select.
I trust this is a shareholding and the club is on its way to be a true stakeholder business

Maybe they would would rather not have a gentleman like the one who asked the first question at the first fans forum. I would think that the LISA representative would be the voice of the fans and the North Stand Group. This would help the board as it is now to concentrate on other matters. You have to agree that as a board they are are a bit stretched. Mrs Incredible doesn't stetch as far as these blokes do.

Time is one of the most precious things a person can give at this time I would think that (having the time to commit oneself), some business knowledge, a large lump of common sense and a useable skill to bring to the table now if a member is putting their name forward then the aforsaid skills should be paramount but how are these skills going to be identified but through an interview? and who should do or is qualified to conduct the interview?
A body that is independant of the club and LISA would be the obvious choice but which one and who pays?
So no way would appear to be ideal, my suggestion (for what it's worth) would be for the LISA committee to conduct their own internal interviews and put forward the best 5 candidates, but good luck for those interviewers it's a horrible job interviewing people you know.
As for a vote of members to choose, well not a good idea just in case anyone gets accused of being in a clique or favouritism.
1st treat it like a job application ask for a cv, and a written application asking that the applicants qualities are listed, choose a shortlist from that, Internal interviews, then put forward the names. A long winded process yes but a fair one, isn't it?

What was LISA setup to do Maur? How can a lay person really get that involved with the running of our club. All they can really do is represent the fans and thats it. Do you honestly think that they will be able to stop the board from doing something that the LISA representative has no knowledge about. Or more to the point do you want that type of chaos in our boardroom? That sort of thing will end in disaster. The LISA director will be there as the fans voice and that will be it. To expect them to have a vote in anything other than things like player purchases or things concerning us is ridiculous. I personally don't want a revolution I want a happy club.

Now there is the potential problem. A LISA member stands for election because he/she thinks they could do something positive. They don't get elected and someone else is chosen who another applicant thinks isn't as fitted as he/she thought they were.

It could end up with some cancelling their memberships.

Let the present Board interview those wanting to apply (I can't see there being many quite frankly) and that possibility is ruled out.

Regarding a share in the club Maurice' I actually have shares in a few companies but I do not see why our supporters organisation would want a share in the club or how it would benefit LISA or the club ?

LISA is there to raise much needed funds for the club which imo is why people join.
