When this is made official I will be happy that this debacle is over with and we can get on with enjoying our resurection. A resurection that Paul has been instrumental in. There is no one else I would want to take us to new heights, as Paul has worked his guts off to get where he is today. He is a Leyther who loves Leigh and as Tez O'Connor said in his comentry of our NRC victory, " he is Leigh through and through". We can't really ask for more than that can we.

He signed a 2 year deal today according to my sources.

They still want the antipodean to be General Manager, something you do not need a coaching qualification for, and never did, we were just fortunate that our last General Manager/head coach had one, though our last two General Managers did not.

Terrific appointment and glad the uncertainty is over. No doubt the club still does need a general manager but I'm glad we've got a coach who can now solely concentrate on that.

Great appointment for a LEYTHER i,m sure with Paul & the rest of the coaching / backroom set up at the Centurions we are looking forward to a great future on the playing front ..After watching how are young players are coming through and with the experience of Ricky Bibby Rob Parker, Stu Littler ect ect ect im sure Paul and the coachin staff will get the lads super fit and gnashin at the leash for the start of 2012 season
Ive been really impressed by the standard of Rugby played at Salford,.. against Halifax and last Fri how Leigh ripped into Wigan , the Centurions are a very good team with the young players comin thro i think this season will be better than the last..
