I don't think the live broadcast will affect the attendances at all. This is something we've discussed at the meetings and we tend to think that those who want to attend the game will still do so (even though the commentary is ace).



Like Dave said, we're hoping that we're going to attract some lapsed/new fans who will hopefully listen in and realise what they're missing, whilst at the same time, offering a service to those who can't attend.

Several decades ago when Eddie Waring was commentating on BBC Grandstand the Beeb were not allowed to tell viewers which RL game was being televised on Saturday afternoons.

We did not have internet or mobiles in those days but we always used to know which game it was cos people used to use their landlines cos with the Camera crews arriving at a particular ground early Saturday morning.

I do not think gates will be impacted much tbh but it might entice lapsed fans to start coming again..

Before you judge too harshly just be aware that this project is being run with no professional equipment, at a cost to no one except the people who are trying to bring something new to the club.

I have been on nights mish so i have really enjoyed the coverage, the commentary was excellent as well.

I'm glad it all turned out well because we had quite a few unforeseen problems during the broadcast today.

However, as has been mentioned before, all these things are 'firsts' for us so we are basically learning as we go (the one thing we learned today is that we can't rely on the LSV Wifi) and hopefully we can improve on every game we cover.
