To be fair Eccles/Trafford Centre are easy to get to via bus. Te stadium seems further away than it is due to the amount of things between Eccles centre and the stadium. On google maps it's around 2 miles from Patricroft Station to the stadium, tops.

A very good point mike , you are quite correct , to move forward the club needs to work much harder at raising its profile within the town , as Alan posted earlier , it is something the club has put as a priority in the future , the issue as has been pointed out is finance , so I think using bill boards might prove out of our reach for the moment , so we will have to be a bit more ' inventive ' , but it HAS to happen

Good points in the original post though Mike - it's an age old debate that usually comes down to speculate to accumulate & brand-building vs lack of available finances for such things.

And Jonny I should have put a smiley on that - I'm not having a go, I think the idea's a good 'un.

I set up a meeting a few weeks ago with Trevor Barton and I raised the point of advertising in town and having posters in every shop window . I have another meeting next week. We will be discussing shops to target and what to put on the posters.

Starbug uses it as his weekend residence when Lynda kicks him out of the house.

Maybe that is part of our communications strategy,this coming season.

Goodo, its a great bit of kit. Would need to be fumigated if Starbug has been sleeping rough in it.

Trailer is here in the works yard unused,

we couldnt get funds for it to be finished off, ie for it to be sign written etc and other issues on where it would be allowed.
