Just an enquiry, but [uIF[/u there are issues with players being paid, are the LISA sponsored players wages guarenteed and seperate from the clubs accounts or has the money already been lumped in with the club's funds?

Because it needs something fast effective and new. It nmeeds buisness people with fresh new ideas LISA is great and should continue to do what it does but no buisness people with funds will be willing to fund the club via a supports club.

The corporate club is where the "big" payments from business people will go. If you are investing large amounts of money, you will want a say in how that is spent. The corporate club gives you more access to how that is spent, whereas the way LISA is set up means that however large or small your contribution is, it gets pooled together to pay players contracts. Not that that is a bad thing as most of the working class fans who contribute, want it that way.

Lynda, could LISA pay the players wages, if we had enough members?

I shall always be a member of LISA.

We need substantial investment from the Consortium and they have identified a shortfall that needs to be bridged. The only way to bridge it is from another backer or people like me.

Let me put it this way could we at LISA pay the players next month if we had to ? And what about the following months.

This is a serious issue and needs sorting sooner rather than later and by sooner I mean before we play our next game.

I am not looking to upset anyone I want a quick solution and one that guarantees our clubs survival.

Does the consortium have the right to ask for money off people without that information being in the public domain?.

Firstly thanks for your support Frank, but let me clarify my position here. I am not party to discussions taking place with the club, I have been asked if the fans could generate income to share the burden if this consortium are able to progress - I have assured them we will do whatever it takes to support our clubs future existence. I am not party to the details of the clubs financial position, but the word of people I trust is that it is very serious. AT's bankroll these last years is for all to see at Company House, it aint rocket science to realise our running costs and income leave a big gap.
If anyone is able to commit amounts to the fund should it be required then by all means PM me, this needs to be a 3 year commitment and not a one off, I hope smallish one offs , £5 a months etc will be collected via something like the 'save Hilton Park scheme' of a few years ago - LISA could be great for this imho.
The strength of our great club is the passion of its fans - we can make a difference when united and if I can help do that then I would be a proud man.
This isnt a game anymore its a battle for survival and a partneship between fans and business will secure our future.
