I hope when you do watch the game again take your blinkers off and pay particular attention to the first 20 mins and the penalty account against the Miners.
Dont try and make excuses for the East defeat they were beat by a better more committed side on the night and to say otherwise without giving full credit to the Miners is disrespectful and shows a distinct lack of knowledge of the game of rugby league.

I'm guessing from your user ID that you are a fellow referee. Do you not think you should be encouraging your fellow officials instead of calling them "crap" and saying they "bottled it". It's hard enough keeping young officials in the game because of abuse from spectators and players. They don't need it from so called colleagues

Who rattled your cage, unlike you I have no attachment to either of the Leigh teams and at a guess I think I have watched about 10 home games of each team. Where did I show disrespect to Miners, would "upped their game", "dominate the half" and "deserved the victory" be your interpretation of disrespect.
The first twenty minutes were scrappy and the ref was over fussy after that it was an enthralling game of rugby, the fact that you don't agree with my opinions doesn't make me worry that my knowledge of the game is less than yours.

I was at the game and you quite clearly point out that the referee made decisions which in your opinion went against Leigh East and affected the outcome making no reference to any decisions against the miners.Now as for the alledged try dissallowed for double movement thats new to me could you enlighten us all.
I will agree the referee was poor as were the touch judges a lot was missed by all three and we will leave it at that shall we.

I went. After 20 minutes I would have bet my place on a comfortable Easts win.

Fair do's last 15 mins Miners came back from the dead. Easts lost it. A good game for neutrals.

Easts will bounce back to win this league.

I thought it was a cracking game, the Ref was a bit fussy at times and then ignored a couple of things but don't all ref's? East started very well taking control but late in the first half Miners seemed to start clawing their way back into it, in terms of territory and possession, they then built on that in the second and overall probably deserved their victory.

Well done to Miners, Good Luck to East on winning the title, it would be good to see both teams in a re-run in the Grand Final.

Contrary to what some may think, the lack of highlights is more likely due to the fact Fred's on holiday rather than East losing.

Correct. I was stood in that corner during the first half and in my opinion it was a rightly dissallowed try but for the wrong reason.

The ref disallowed it for a knock on even though the Easts player didnt lose control of the ball.

The right decision was a double movement but the ref didnt give it.

Great game to watch, I think Easts are a better team overall, but once Miners got a roll on in the last 20 there was no stopping them.

That's unusual, seeing the word "agree" in a reply to one of my posts. I also agree that we will leave it at that however I will add that I can only comment things I see from "my end" .
