No WYB, Leighs statement that appears on our official site was going to appear in the League Express also, but it appears from the info that Mr Chairman gave, that the club pulled it at the last minute, so it didn't appear.

Its sad tho now that not only people in Leigh know that Leigh still struggle with relations with their amateur Clubs but now the whole RL do lets just forget about it and move on!

It was reported he had an agreement in place to sign for Leigh, but then there was this alleged interest from Salford, and he asked to think about the Leigh offer again. Maybe IM feels, he would be distracted to easily at any whiff or rumour of SL interest and would not be 100% committed to the team.....just a thought, not an implication or accusation.

If you offered someone a job and they verbally agreed and aranged a meeting to sign everything off, then they cancelled because someone else was now interested, then, when there was no interest, they wanted to come back to the original offer, what would you think.

They will have had a reason for 'pulling' the deal. I suppose depending on what the reason was would dictate whether it can be resurrected.

May I just add Mr Chairman, I think that part of your statement above ie "We didn't handle it right at east" is missing from the report in the League Express.

At least leigh east are humble enough to admit that,unlike some peoples stance over the original statement.

Thankyou Mr Chairman, and it should now stay between Easts and Centurions (maybe should have been like that to start with). This messagboard has probably not helped matters either.
