Cracking idea IMO.
There still wont be fitter and pysically stronger 9 outside SL and like you rightly point out the lad is a fitness fanatic and will show the way in that dept to not only the young players but some of the older ones too.
He showed in his final few games only last season at HP he could still dominate the ruck and influence the game and had he not been given a route straight to the top as a coach (unfairly and rediculously) would never have retired IMO and had to have carried on playing to earn his corn.
Of all the new signings a fully fit PR will be the most influencial along with Robbie Paul. |

We signed an ageing Graham Eadie back in 1986 - he'd been three years retired and was a massive success - Lance Todd trophy winner in 1987. I bet Rowley can still offer a lot.

| I thought Paul quit playing due to the risk of permanent damage to himself and putting his family first (and rightly so).
Unless he's now 100% fit, free from risk and upto putting his body through high contact knocks then I'm afraid we shouldn't even be considering it.
However if he is all the above why didn't he come of retirement this season - when we really needed him  |

Still get knocked about though. It's one thing being a fitness fanatic, it's another your body being able to put up with the hits of a sport like ours.
