Yes number 20 but my mam and I had a row over money when I was 17. I left then but eventually called around to talk to her again about 8 years later. I missed her.

Reading the thread on the Last Tackle thread about this storm in a tea cup I have good news to report.

The ringleader of the Gateshead 5 has told his friend sclemm that his two young lads are fine now. Sclemm has responded by posting he,s glad his kids are ok.


This unbelievable nonsence and the club they support report Leigh fans to the RL . For goodness sake. I,m more surprised that these 2 nutcases haven,t been sectioned under the mental health act.

Have any Gateshead fans posted anything positives about us or do they all agree with the infamous 5.

Surely 5 Gatesyed fans must be a minority. There again, they could be a majority given their attendances!

Well the ones on their forum certainly arent a friendly bunch.

i've read it and tbh both sets of supporters seem as bad as each other.

I cannot believe the rubbish posted by the Gateshead fans. One of the main complaints seems to that Leigh fans dared to boo the Gateshead players. I mean who gets so upset by booing that they feel the need to make formal complaints. The only part that you can understand them having a bit of an issue with is the chants containing swearing - but surely thats happens at most ground you go to.

I went to Halifax earlier in the year and the Widnes fans were behind the sticks surrounded by young Fax fans singing anti Widnes / scouser chants and swearing etc. It wasn't pleasant, but it was no great issue. Sounds to me like the Leigh fans travelled in great numbers, were loud and the Gateshead fans didn't like it - maybe even felt a bit intimidated on their own turf.

There was nothing in the fans postings that I found unacceptable and needed to be reported to the RFL. In fact the worst behaviour seem to have come from the Gateshead player, but his actions are being defended by the Gateshead official. As a few Leigh fans have said, the Gateshead fans seem to be in a different world to everyone else. They certainly seem to have led a very sheltered lives.
