I believe Paul Rowley is the only RL coach to have ever complained about a truelly shocking official, no other clubs coaches have EVER done it

Perhaps that famous Widnesian Mr Cummings should start improving his team of whistle blowers because they appear rudderless

Lets not forget that the referee over ruled a linesman that told him that a thunder players foot was over the dead ball line when he touched down.

IN such an important game I cannot imagine why the head coach would be upset with the shortcomings of general poor refereeing!

It's looking like it always has been this season (apart from the 2nd half against Toulouse0 We are gonna get caned for penalties (with or without Hobson in the team) We have to overcome the situation and maintain our discipline. Because of PR's comments on GMR expect Robert Hicks and Ronnie Laugton at our last two home games!

I don't normally like to bag referees, but that mon had an absolute howler this afternoon, particularly with the Donlan 'try'. Think Rowley has pretty restrained in the circumstances, though I wouldn't be surprised if he cops a ban when considering the rather forceful nature required from the referee's escort to keep Rowls away from him!

Phil Kinsella on Radio Manc. said it all when there was a knock on by a Gateshead player in the second half. The TJ signals it's a knock on and the ref awards a penalty to G/head. From the tap penalty Gateshead score a try! Says it all really!

If it's the incident that I'm thinking of, the referee actually gave a knock-on and the packs were forming until he changed his mind and gave a penalty to Gateshead instead!

PL you and I know that we `re not a badly disciplined side contrary to the statistics......... What we are guilty of is failing to understand that the BENT 4wit in the middle is totally devoid of making a decision without reading a manuscript from his overlord CUMMINGS...................Now he was another 4wit........








In all seriousness i feel we get caned ,when for the life of me I think the same penalties go undetected against us. No doubt we`ll get our just rewards and the clowns will be in charge of our next 2 matches..............Give ne Ganson every day....

You only have to look back to the Toulouse game. we should've had 15 penalties for high shots alone! If you think about it, a ref, could award a penalty every two minutes for infringements during the game. Whether he does that or not is left to the hierarchy!

Perhaps we should take a leaf out of Widnes and become yes men to every injustice that happens on and off the field, so not to upset the RL because we are "certain " of getting a franchise if we are nice and sycophantic.

During the Toulouse game we should `ve had numerous pens for offside and ptb infringements..........Unfortunately Hicks could n`t seperate left from right even with the assistance of two hands and two feet, he kept going around in a circle.........

Sometimes it's important to recognise that you have been beaten by a better, well coached team. That happens in sport. If Rowley went after the referee after the game it's disgraceful. How can you expect your players to be composed under pressure if your coach is cracking up. My mate went to the game and said the Leigh supporters where fantastic. He also said Gateshead where the better, well drilled team and deserved the win, however Leigh finished the game stronger.

Even with the "Yes sir No sir, three bags full sir, I think we'd be struggling and I think that PR's frustration is showing.
