Totally different issue that Matt, that ones about a stable club and running it correctly, any stable club run correctly, would not be offering 1 year deals.

Doesn't look like you'll get Phil Vievers as your new coach, Matt Parish has quit at Salford.

| I was told Veivers had not applied for the Leigh job.
We have as has been reported 3 applicants.
For the record one of the three isn't Malcolm Alker.

Thats what insurance is for. Most clubs pay off long term injured players with it

| Quote: Leyther_Matt "As they're short on numbers on the board Maurice, I'm sure KF/PC/TB will appreciate you coming on board with your expert knowledge. Breaking our pay structure and the problems it will cause is a genius idea, I must say. Good player, but Darren Lockyer he is not. Why should the likes of Taylor, Duffy, Littler etc be 'rewarded' for their loyalty by the club going back on their pay structure to increase a deal that had previously been agreed?'"
IMO to sit on the board you should guarantee a minimum investment each year, I believe that investment should be circa £25k and that we need £150k pa to top up income to meet ambition - I currently do not have the spare £25k so I would be a hypocrite to do as you suggest. I realise it will have gone over the head of a wannabe clerk but at least I tried

We were getting around 500/600 fans at the willows, in CH1 with pretty much no away support, so im pretty sure it will be nearer the 900/1000 mark in CH. Our rental package cant even be compared to yours as only one stand is being opened.
Oh, and dont take your anger out on us because your backer p****d off and left you for dead, and alot of your players left to other clubs. I still think you will finish above us next year and really dont see what your bloody problem is. Get a grip.'"
I meant not come and watch any of your games not the one when we play you

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

That's fine in SL , have you any ideas of the cost to insure a 25 player RL squads wages against injury ?
Sports injury insurance normally covers the cost of a set number of consultations , scans and operations
Once again your ignorance of the workings of RL below SL is glaringly obvious

That's fine when you have a que of potential investors , we don't , so sorry Neil but your opinion is rubbish in this situation
The board have set limits and parameters they have to stick with , that is how it will have to be done from now on , until we start to increase income , not charity

Sorry Steve my post was relevant to the question posed and is my belief.
The club is attempting to do this via the 1 share for every £20k scheme for Touchdown and LISA, as I interpret it. The board/sharedholders are 2 people at present with TB helping out? both of whom have stated? that they will put no more in.(don't blame them btw)
The job is to increase income, currently that means ST's, Touchdown, Lottery, LISA, Gate, Sponsorship, RFL and anything I may have missed. It also means operate to strict budgets, but to have a number of individuals or groups covering shortfalls via £150k pa input would ensure a vibrant future and a better product.
Sport is a charity for most clubs btw. It depends on individuals generosity, but good business structures must sit behind the philanthropist who then tops up the shortfall - we have different views.

But we don't have a number of individuals or groups able to cover any shortfalls , so we cannot have any shortfalls , if that means the future isn't completely vibrant , then that's the way it is
