I have seen many great scrum half's in my day. Ryan Brierley is a poacher , an opportunist who's eye for a gap and support play is second to none where he can use his greatest asset , lightning quick feet with the ability to catch pigeons in full flight.

He can not however move our team around the park at 7 any more than you or I can. That responsibility falls firmly on young Ridyards shoulders who has to do the work of two half backs and its a heavy burden to carry.

Good coaches like your's at Halifax have sussed it and the objective is to nullify Ridyard , to nullify Leigh.

Usually when people say "don't blame the messenger" they mean blame the originator of the message, not the person daft enough to listen to it. We really can't do that here.

It was upto pg9 before the player was announced. You know the off season is boring unless you are a club run by Del Boy!

People can argue as much as they want. There is no comparison between a club signing an old FB as cover and mentor to young lads up against a coach walking without a reason 10 days before the start of the season.
I don't think this is a massive problem for Leigh as long as the owner makes the right choice. It may even be a good thing in the end if handled properly. It all comes down to the reason he left. If it was personal then that is fine. If it is due to major problems within the club then not so good. It will all come out as it usually does. Big 10 days for Leigh coming up.
I wish Leigh and the Bulls well this year and hope we see promotion actually happen.

I've never liked Rowley as a coach, I don't think the style of play is sustainable against the bigger teams...... it looks brilliant to the eye, but does it get you results? Last season showed, no!

Against Batley and Dewsbury we look like world beaters, play a half decent team like Hull KR for example and we'll lose everyday of the week.

I feel we need a coach who plays more of a simple possession game, like a Shaun Wane, Karl Harrison etc...

No mate it doesn't, Leeds away in challenge cup in 2014, beat Salford and Wakefield in the cup last season, and only lost away to Warrington in the challenge cup by about 10 points. Are you really a Leigh fan ?
We don't always look like 'world beaters' against Dewsbury, they give us one helluva game, most times we play them !!!!!

We lost to Leeds and Wire, we beat Wakefield and Salford teams who were plagued by injuries, and we beat part time Championship teams.....

We played Hull KR and died of death, as we did against every other team in the middle 8s! I think a lot of Leigh fans are disillusion, we've achieved nothing under Rowley!

Having fancy players like Moimoi and Tonga is all well and good, but we've achieved nothing..... lets hope we can turn this year round and go up!
