Think that may be a good shout short term or increase the cap then the top teams can recruit better Aussies and the quality could then push down. But not a longer term solution.. academies for all to increase participation.

Honestly no offence intended whatsoever, but I genuinely don’t see any super league standard players in your squad that any other super league team would want or need? Just being honest like, would be interested in any Leigh fans thoughts as to stand out players?

The obvious answer to the above is the players that go to SL clubs are clearly, by those SL teams, considered to be SL standard.

Speaking personally, Liam Hood has always been a stand out and not just against the many teams Leigh have put together over the years he's played for us but against any opposition, including any super league team.

Every top champ team year on year will normally best the poorest SL team. Leigh themselves have done it against Salford and Huddersfield in recent years. Totally different that week on week SL campaign.

Time will tell long term if taking this opportunity was the wrong decision. Could depend if it has given us some financial advantage for next season. At moment we don’t know either way. A lot of our players have gained SL experience and improved we need to secure those for 2022.

After last nights Wigan result and performance and if the Doc does come and increases the spending power, then I wonder in Ian Thronley has considered if he made the right decision?

Didnt all clubs applying know that and money hasnt been the issue for you guys.i havent had ago at your club i simply said having this season in sl has done you many favours.you will lose some of your best players like hood and now you will needto rebuild again which even if you get the drs money(lets face it didnt do owt with salford)can take time you may of now been challaging for place in sl where you would of had longer to prepare had you gained opposed to the few weeks you had this year.
