Honestly don't know SM, not that I am in favour of Aussie coaches but all Leigh fans will remember the unknown Ian Millward that turned our fortunes around, I know we have also had some indifferent Aussies in the role, could a Sean Long be enticed? Please not Stuart Littler though it would seem to be a cheap alternative and would seem to be just another old pals act, we need someone no one knows not someone who would put them all in their comfort zone and by that I mean everyone in the club including Derek John Beaumont.

To describe Derek Beaumont as "being in a comfort zone" has got to be the most laughable comment yet.

Well, i am surprised and disappointed with this decision. This will no doubt be a internal kick for the club. The next coach must IMO be a proven winner in SL for me which champion experience within the coaching set up.

Don't forget being in the position that Mr Beaumont is in it is an entirely voluntary decision he has taken, nobody forced him into it and nobody is making him carry on doing so he can walk away whenever he wishes then put in a request to have his 'loan notes' honoured if he so wished.
I doubt that a character as strong as he portrays himself to be would put himself and his family out of his comfort zone, now if he strong enough to employ someone who will stipulate to him I am in charge of all matters relating to the playing side of the club with no interference from anyone remains to be seen.

our current interim coach stated last week he had received full support and been given what he had asked for including likely the 2 aussies on the way

are you suggesting he has interfered with team matters if that has been over contracts then that is correct we have had coaches giving out contracts before if anything else show us the evidence

we have lost operational board members in the course of the year. if they had wanted presumably they could have become actual board members by matching DBs investment they didnt

Unless I have heard different to you, it has been reported over the years that Mr Beaumont has tried to put his influence over playing matters, and his choice of coach has allowed him to do that, if he employs someone that us a known disciplinarian he could squash those rumours in the future.

Well no point getting a OZ coach who doesn’t know the players here. Nor someone who isn’t proven in SL.
