Again I do realise what situation we will be in , if we don’t go down ,and it could be just giving us a reprieve,with 4 going down out of 14 it will be extremely difficult and again I agree we will need a new team , we will need a virtual new team anyway ,as most are leaving at the end of this season .

And to survive we will need to recruit quality in abundance , I’m sure Derek knows this as well though ,as for Joel Tomkins ?Im hoping the first of a few quality players to arrive , you have to start somewhere , we have now signed him ,2 Aussies , Joe Mellor , I’m hoping Brierley and James Bell sign again ,maybe Sidlow ,the rest it will up to the Coach , again I’m not sure if we will get one but apparently Derek already has once in mind and is just waiting to announce him .

I’m hopeful of our future , hopeful being the word , but I’m also a realist IF we want to become a top 10 side then we need drastic measures in recruitment , or we are just marking time till we go down again .

Derek I think ourselves , Salford , Wakey , Hudds , Hull KR , and the 2 possible oromotedClubs if it happens all realise the extreme mountain they will have to climb to get into the proposed top 10.

My question is this season we started on a lower amount of Central Funding ,because we where a new team to SL , next season we won’t be a new team , does this mean we will on the same footing asSalford , Hudds ,and Wakey ?And will the 2 promoted teams be on a less amount as we were ?

I’m sure Derek Beaumont is well aware of what is needed. If his past record is anything to go by he has little idea of how to bring it about. His leadership over the past few seasons has left a lot to be desired. Being a passionate fan is not enough and he has proved it.

Sorry, in my annoyance did not make myself clear yes Hood was off side. I was referring to kr try when kr man was within 10 yards of our man fielding kick so penalty to us,probably not a knock as thought on the ground, but close, deffo no try.

Usually you hear the shout from the ref telling the players offside to stay back. For me the video ref is concentrating on the knock on, and forgets the rules of the game with Crooks onside.

Thanks Reffy, so the HKR try should have been disallowed for the same reason.

Crooks put them all onside, the ref sends it up to check the knock on. One he awards on field as a try after consultation with his touch judges, no call from the ref to any player to stay onside after Lawler kicks. Hoods was straight forward offside. The ref for me was correct in both decisions. You can’t be judging if someone is encroaching 10m when the fullback just played them all onside.

It got sent up as a try.

Crooks cannot put anyone who was in front of him onside who are within the 10, the only person who can put people back onside is the kicker of the ball which clearly he didn't. The try should of been disallowed by the rules of the game, although it's one rule I hate as even though within the 10 he has no outcome on the play at all.

I’m not sure about the point you are trying to make. Yes we probably have spent a bit more on our squad. It is reflected in the table. To attract quality players you have to pay accordingly. It is however well known that to get away from the foot of the table you have to pay over the odds to attract players. Otherwise the only players you will get will be those not wanted by other clubs. Due to Toronto dropping out we finished bottom last year. How many of our 2020 squad did you sign?
