4 weeks ago I was despondent, I thought we may be watching a mish mash of Miners, East, Parkside etc lads in the cherry and white, what has happened since and who we have signed has got me so exited, OK we may not get any better quality than we already have signed but obviously we need another 10 or so for a squad.
The vibes coming out of the club about the togetherness and willing to fight for each other is a total total contrast to that set of mercenaries we employed last season, these lads we have now, will have pride in their shirts, they will give their all for the speccy's, all we need to do from the terracing is give them back the same enthusiasm they undoubtedly will give us, let them feed of it, be positive Atomic, no more negativity please we have had enough of that over the last 6 months, can't wait for the Toulouse game.

A few people forget that John got the British player of the series fro full back in the Aussie leg of the down under tour of '79, just imagine what he would be like in today's modern game in that position.

I think your memory is playing tricks with you! JW was at centre on that tour. He played centre in the warm up games against Queensland & NSW also in the 2nd and 3rd test. He only played fullback in the 1st test because George Fairbairn was injured and we got battered 35 - 0. He didn’t even get a game on the Kiwi leg.

Personally my daughter has again ordered my new shirt which is available on the 26th Jan, can't wait, and I decided to go a little further by sponsoring a player. Given the funding will be a little shy this season and I don't buy a season ticket. I thought it better to sponsor a player.
