I just don't like the way he's trying to re-write history. The last couple of years have been littered with ex players and staff who have been treated shamefully and whilst most people just care about the team they support I would only support a club who looks after it's staff in a respectful way that doesn't harm their mental health, regardless of whether that person is in the club or leaving. It just leaves a bitter taste in my mouth that this man can write reams about himself and his cash and how we should all be thankful that he put his cash into the club but yet have no concerns whatsoever about how his actions have affected various players during his tenure. And no I don't accept that fact that it was Juke's fault, or Cunningham's fault. IT WAS HIS FAULT and he should stand up like a man and admit that's he behaved appallingly. I hope all that is in his book but obviously we all know it won't be because he would never consider that fact.

If you read the statement properly instead of wearing your biased glasses you will see that one of the first thing he did was apologise to the players and staff for the way he conducted himself

ATEOTD you could argue he is a ruthless and selfish individual, and even as things stand he's made sure he's protecting himself, but what he has done is to put the in the best possible position considering the circumstances - even you must recognise that

Has he? He is still owner, he can still make any decision, he can pull his "loan" at any time. So no he hasn't done everything. That would be to write off the loans, so they can actually be called "investments" like half this forum sadly believe.

You do realise he could at anytime call in the loans making the club bankrupt right? That is one hell of a hold over a club you are stepping away from no?

Deeds are what count not words so let's see how he conducts himself over the next 12 months then get back to me. As a previous poster has said, nothing has changed; he's still the owner, the club still owes him a massive debt and he's still pulling the strings. The only difference is that officially he has now separated himself from any future backlash, but you can bet your bottom dollar that future statements and press stories will still include quotes from 'Leigh's owner' rather than Leigh's head coach or Leigh's Chairman. Same old, same old.

That would be a little silly to be honest. He is the main shareholder, sending the club bankrupt is something he has avoided. He has a full season to sell now or accept better or upgraded offers.

Either way simply taking a back seat and not prepared to spend anymore isn’t really in the interest of the Club. Pass on what you own with a handshake and let others take the reigns.
