When this new revolutionary structure, containing the previously much maligned loop fixtures, fails to grab new spectators through the gates and gains no super dooper new TV deal in 2020, then what? I can see it now , 2 years down the line.
106 year old Ian Lenegan calls for an urgent restructuring EGM, blaming yo yoing P&R system and and pushes for an immediate automatic P&R SL ban.
110 year old Harold Rigby saw it all coming.

Said it on the VT H as soon as the new structure was announced- liscencing within the next 3 years, this is just an initial softener to suck the champ vote in. They must think us fans are as thick as some of the chairmen |

It needed something doing. The Super8s produces too many meaningless games and goes on way too long, as does the Middle8s although it does catch interest, and the Shield is a meaningless comp for losers, which is why spectators flock to it in their tens. They had better get someone like Barry Hearn marketing the game however, as I fear for the future of RL otherwise.
