Why?

Funding will be big as to get to the top in this division you normally have to dip your hand into your pocket. We can't keep expecting DB to foot the bill all the time. I've mixed emotions about the proposed new layout but at least promotion and relegation is still in place. I feel there isn't enough quality players in the English game to do a 14 team Super League with a two up two down system.

Until we make reserves compulsory we will struggle because a lot of lads are not ready to step up at 18 so clubs just release them and these lads get disillusioned and pack the game in but clubs having a reserves they can wait and see how they develop and I'm sure a lot more will break through

If I was running the game I'd just run it nice and simple, 2 up 2 down, winner of the league wins the Super League, 1st & 2nd place play off at old Trafford in a final. I'd have a 14 team Super League and Championship like follows:

I think there is enough quaility now to have a 14, 15, 16 team Super League, but obviously Wigan / Saints want to keep the money for themselves.
