Yep and rightly so. You can't defend either action even if one was clumsy. Personally I think Glen will get 4 games and same for the Wire lad.

Watched it a couple of times and Stewart had no intent to go high in the tackle, his job all night was having brown in his pocket, he moved in quickly, brown had a quick look, fumbled and this caused the contact to the head as he stooped to retain the ball. Hope he is well and recovers quickly. Lineham was intent, yes borne from frustration but that is not a defence against intent

I thought Brown was changing his stance and shape constantly juggling for control of the ball and was slightly ducking into Stewart's arm at impact , which would have been on Brown's chest if Brown had full control of the ball

Mo, you are as bad interpreting action on the pitch as you are with reporting on ticket sales, both are very poor.

I assume this is another of your wind ups, you cannot condone what Stewart did - the intent was clear to see, Brown had got control of the ball well before Stewart got there.

Have to say as an aside Stewart looks a class act - we are certainly not short of quality back rowers

Have you read about the 3 clubs in the NRL who all received heavy fines for not removing players from the field who were clearly concussed, Newcastle Knights, St George Dragons and Gold Coast Titans. At least in super league its taken seriously.

Both players will receive bans but in stuarts defence browns legs start to bend just before the contact and therefore hitting him higher than intended.

Both have been charged with grade C offences which carry a 2-3 game ban. Both have the early guilty plea available.

Watched the whole match back twice now & those 2 incidents several times over.
Brown did change step & his body height by bending/ducking etc fractionally before impact, Stewart will get a ban & rightly so, but the late change in body position by Brown did have an effect on the tackle.

Lineham lashing out was both intentional & cynical, ban on it's way also.

Lineham should get a bigger ban than Stewart.....though doesn't look like it will happen !
