When you signed him he was on a months long loan with Halifax. He could have gone to other super league clubs but needed to stay in the North West as he was doing his degree at Liverpool. I believe he has a role on the conditioning side with Toronto so this will enable him to gain the practical experience for his career after rugby league. As most people have alluded to the Toronto side will probably only be in Championship 1 for 12 months, and the intention is for them to get to Super League

Exactly Ian. Paul has been as good as he could or this club. The boys he has signed have probably looked at their chances at Leigh and at clubs in our leagues and decided that it could be their best chance to play a bit longer for a decent pay day. They have bills to pay and are young. I'm getting a bit fed up with this purge on anything Toronto now. |

I don't take kindly as a fan, of seeing my club and what's gone on this season.You maybe fed up with the Toronto lark,but without the financial backing this season,you'd have had a different answer. |

Getting back to Dixon, will we miss him?NO,not a bad player but not SL class, if we get promoted this season ,Dixon wouldn't have been offered a SL contract in my opinion,he knew this and decided to accept the Canadian Dollar, I don't blame, if we get promoted to SL then a few other players could leave as well.It was the same with Jonny Pownall, he wasn't going to move Higson, Dawson, or Brown on the wing so decided to join Toronto as well, for me all the players who have left Leigh to join Toronto,were not SL standard.I have faith in Jukesy and Derek to give us a very competetive team ready for SL next year should we get there .

Well I reckon Pownall was off long before Dawson and Brown were in the pipeline. Always rated him to be honest, but better people than me clearly thought different |
