I have to say of all the loan players Leigh have had over many a year, I can't recall any that has had more desire to succeed than Whiting. His enthusiasm has been absolutely second to none.

Rich has looked like a quality player from the second he joined us. He hasn't put a foot wrong and it is a great move by the club to get him here permanently.

Hull can't guarantee him regular game time and he is too good not to be playing.

Rich's utility tag has probably hindered him over the years. Had he just been allowed to develop in one position he would have been an international imo, but instead hes built a career on being the man who will never let you down in any situation. If you need him to play full back, centre and prop all in onr game he will, and he'll play them all to a pretty flawless standard.
