Lynda , we scored some good tries out there today , far from a vintage win , but a win no less , nowt for Donny as I predicted , we never looked in trouble today , I thought Tommy G had a good game .
As for the crowd , the North Stand looked like a few fans were in there , I thought the crowd looked to have more on , it was nice to Equal to Wins record , lets go to Owlerton next Sunday and break the record .Cmon you Leythers .

| I thought we played ok and scored some excellent tries. Paul Cooke is still class and is difficult to defend against especially within your own 20. Overall I don't think we were ever in danger of losing and stopped Donny from the BP..... Here's hoping the latter is discarded next year.

| No sin bins or red cards either but Higgy went off at half time with what looked like a hamstring injury never to return Acton was in his suit at the end and also Sarsfield went off injured hope he's ok.

Higgys did look like a hamstring , I think Sarsfield just had cramp , we have cover anyway in most positions , im not sure why Barlow was missing though .

| Good crowd considering what the game was up against. Excellent weather. Only just retuned from Cornwall so what was the team folks and what were the highlights?

| Was the same team as last week apart from Foster and Sarsfield for Penky and Barlow
Donny looked a good side to me and Cooke had a hand in all their tries. He's still a good player but our pace snuffed out a lot of their breaks.
Re the crowd I thought maybe it was 2312 instead of the announced 2132.
I think Foster will be a crowd favourite next season'just a shame he only had about 10 minutes game time today.

| Cooke was the best player on the park for quite a lot of it, until he decided to start niggling and trying to wind the Leigh players up when the game was gone. Credit to him for providing the assist for one of Brierley's tries - he pulled Brierley back to stop him going in at dummy half, which meant he was off the radar to take the pass from the next play and go over....and then went mad at the rest of his team mates behind the sticks!
Some vintage tries scored today, Higson's finish in particular was a beaut. I'm sure Rowley won't be happy with the 20 points conceded, but Donny will score a lot more than that against some teams in this league.

Brilliant photo that, Matt. If Adam hadn't dived high, he wouldn't have made it. He took the corner flag, but that's allowed as long as his body didn't make contact with the floor, out of play. Hence the (I believe) deliberate high dive.

| To their credit, Doncaster came to play rugby. No obvious niggle or slowing down tactics - hence no aggro! I also thought the ref had an excellent game - very calm, and always in the right place.

Isn't the corner flag out of the equation whilst scoring?

Yeah I think the dive was the only way to get around the would be tackler, in fact I think he jumped over the top of him. I commented at the time that it was typical Leigh to come up with a try like that with the pass to Higson missed out a few men when had we gone to the left hand side we had a five on three overlap
