Is board of 'management' just a snazzy name for the traditional board of directors? Don't recall coming across the phrase when I did company law.

Had the pleasure of working with Trevor, John Duffy and Stuart Littler since we formed the BOM helping the Foundation were I could so delighted Trevor accepted the invitation to join the Board and represent such a crucial ingredient to the clubs future success.

Welcome back Trevor.

I read about the appointment of Trevor Barton on the Club's site today. I had an open mind, he is not the most popular person I know and his appointment to the BOM has taken one scalp for sure, for former Chairman, and Honary Life Member Brian Bowman has severed all connections with the Club following this news with immediate affect. He has apparently informed members of the BOM today of his decision. This becomes a sad day rather than a day of celebration.

I was with Brian, Marrion his good lady wife and John Massey at Batley last night though Trevor was never mentioned so I don't know if this is something that may have happened today.

I don't know Brian feelings on Trevor nor am I aware of any previous issues or problems before my time either and I've taken everyone I've met at face value and genuinely have gotten on with everyone Trevor included since working with him.

One thing I will say is though here and now Brian is one of the nicest gentlemen I've had the pleasure to meet and I have nothing but admiration and respect for him for what he has done for our club and I will certainly endeavour to look into this and if true do anything possible to rectify it.

I've not been contacted or made aware of this but if true I am deeply saddened by this.

Sad if this news about Brian is true. I have enormous respect for both guys. Here's hoping that, for the 'greater good' a way can be found to include both these people, in the way forward.

I hope this can be put to bed, we as a club are not big enough for division. I don't have to like all my fellow fans to support my club, I don't find the need to stop supporting it because ones I dislike do also. I hope we can avoid the Labour Club Committee squabbles, if we have people putting time and money into my club then I applaud them and if Brian wants to join the BoM and commit his funds and skills then I am sure he will be welcomed also.
