For clarity I am looking for a group of like minded fans to pool funds at an individually lower level than the drivers but cumulatively the same. I currently don't have 10k pa but I have a couple and others may be in a similar boat.
My personal vision on this is wide fan share ownership at low entry levels, £100 a share for example, working with business to generate the cash and culture we need to take this club to be the best it can be. The business's involved must provide the leadership that will ignite the passion, a glimpse of which we have seen the past 2 weeks on and off the pitch.

Good luck Neil but I will be continuing with my LISA membership.....in fact I will double it to a tenner a month from next month.

I'd still want to know who was steering the ship before I put any money in.

The fans should be part an integral part of a recgonised management structure with information and ideas flowing bothways across the structure. Unfortunatley to implement that communication structure would require the old management ideas to be 'put to bed'. TB could have guided the transition. A new direction was required to ensure the future of the club long term, for our kids and grandkids.

Sorry but I can't afford £500 per year. But I still think it's positive that you are doing this. Good luck.

We seem to have a whole pile of initiatives at the moment : "fan" ownership, Derek B's group, LISA, Touchdown, current directors (only 1 left now?). It will be interesting to see how all this lot can work together or even if it will.

Right now we need a change in a approach, i worry if we get people from the past back that they will carry on where they left off which worked back then but has shown long term its not helped.

Fan ownership is interesting but would need some visionaries with community and marketing focus and an aim to be a not for loss company (i see sporting clubs like social housing, you aint never gonna get rich but you can stop yourself becoming poor).

I could be persuaded to be involved but if all the 4 other parties are still there it will be a very confused structure.

What is brilliant is that folk are passionate, going into their pockets and trying to do something about-don't you agree?

agree with that maurice, the future is looking much more positive. I'm sure there will be clarity over the next few weeks as each group works out exactly what the proposal is.

Leigh will be much stronger if we all work together. Afterall we all want a successful and sustainable Leigh (club and town).

Vast amounts of my non working time are spent providing activities for the kids of this town for no reward other than seeing them succeed and have fun, the spare hours i do get are stood in the north stand or with my family.

There are plenty who do and will continue to do the same as i do but through our rugby club and that deserves support.

In all the gloom its actually a good news story. Only in Leigh could we get innovation (centurions TV/community foundation), entertainment (20 - 0 win over strong batley side), desperation (no dosh to pay players) and hope (DB, Andy, yourself and all the other people who care) all within 3 days.

I really don't want to lose that.

Not only that good news but more, in the news of Assistant Coach Neil Jukes's new arrival, all the best to Sienna Maria born 1st May, well done Neil and Julia.

Maurice love they idea but how about this for a proposal £50 per month which in return you get a season ticket, entry into the main room before and after matches and for 1 game a year all the fans that do this get entry to the main room to include a meal so all the fans get together, If 200 fans did this £120,000 would a be nice little earner, I know this would probably cost club approx £40,000 but still £80,000 isn't to be sniffed at and you get to be part of something.
I think this may of been suggested before but now is probably the perfect time for it for next season.
