Well Budgie old mate the thing is our teams are so closely matched and you could still come to POR and turn us over in the thomas the tank cup.

I was at work so listened on Leigh life (great commentary by the way) but dont let the guy called Derek give any motivational speeches to the team.

The guy on leigh life, Derek I think is name was had thrown the Leigh towel in at the start of the second half LOL the other guy kept having to try and soak up his negativity.

Its difficult to get a proper feel with a radio comment but it sounded like an arm wrestle at times mate

Cheers mate, we never gave up, but our 'kicking game' was awful, predictable play, looked flat, and our usual 'rampaging' big backs gardner, littler, maden were kept quiet by their counterparts. Fev played quite expansive rugby at times, but we didn't, and if we tried it, we didn't make much headway. Folk will say "we couldn't play much worse" but the Fev defence was very hard to break down, even when we weren't making errors.

Think your bang on there budgie our defence is something that gets us out of jail quite a bit. Right back to the CC when we beat Cas it was obvious we had been working on our defense and it looks like we have built on that since.Obviously my theory is shot to pieces in Halifax n Sheff





I honestly thought you were gonna come back and at least nick the draw mate. I think we knew it would be close and I don't see that changing through the rest of the season to be honest. Thats why for me they can keep SL the championship is where its at.

Yes, full credit to Featherstone's defence. They are well organised, and looked good when they moved the ball wide. Finn seemed to have all the time in the world with his kicking game, by lying deep. Ridyard on the other hand was put under pressure all the time, especially when we were lying flat.

Ironically, the eventual difference was down to that howler of Kevin Henderson, when Maden passed to him just after Brierley's try, and he wasn't looking! Result, a try to Rovers!

Still, no complaints about the result, for me the better team won.

Alan don't you get the feeling there will be plenty more twists and turns in this season shaping up nicely
