Fax are second in line, a distant second and unfortunately the RFL wont boot 2 out.. although they should imho.
On a slightly different note I dont see why you Chp lot are moaning its a closed shop, the next round of applications will be for a 16 team league and if fax have true aspirations then it is this period I would be aiming at.

Their competition will be imo SWS, Toulouse, Wakey, Leigh and a unified cumbria (this is imo what the rfl were hinting at with their double yer money merger proposal). 2 of that 5 will come up, one expansion and one heartland imo
..Unless of course the TV deal calls for it and we go to 2 full time divisions. Chp clubs make themselves stronger, good tv ratings and a big tv deal increase and this could be the way forward.

Whitehaven and Barrow are way too far apart to merge. So thats a non starter.

Quite right,it would need to be a merger between whitehaven and workington.Then you need to ask the supporters do they want it.Then you need to ask the question were is the 15 million going to come from to build a stadium fit for purpose.

Halifax don't deserve to be there. Widnes do.

Both teams deserve to be there IMHO.

Widnes due to infrastructure, Halifax for being the best and most consistant team throughout the franchise period.

Both are rugby mad Towns,and both clubs capeable of generating large crowds.

As a lover of Rugby League I think Widnes would be better for Super League than Halifax. I'd probably go Toulouse over 'Fax too if they have as strong a structural set up as Catalans did when they were set up.

As much a I would prefer Fax to go up over anyone else, it won't happen because the forgotten question of an imbalance of teams over the Pennines will crop up. I know it's a feeble one but the RFL don't need much of one to put a expansion club in. Come to think of it the RFL don't need any excuses do they.

I would NEVER support FAX in any way ,i call them the LEECH club,they Stole our then Coach Steve Simms ,along with Paul Rowley ,and Simon Baldwin ,off us,and then a few years later offered us a Derogatory amount for Mikey Higham before he signed for saints ,and gave us Peanuts for Stu Donlan , i say stay where you are Fax.

As Halifax dont appear to be interested at all in investment of any youth policy I will see fit not to support them. How they can even be considered when they blatently don't support youth development is beyond me.
