I bet he is better at other things though but refereeing he sadly is just not good enough. I have seen him at games where Leigh haven't been playing but he is always the same consistently crap.

During the two 'friendlies', officiated by SL referees, we conceded seven penalties in each game. We then go back to a Championship ref and he hammers both teams - us for offside, and Oldham for holding down/interfering. I know our discipline has been bad, but why is it that SL refs seem satisfied with it?

Also, that was a class moment, when he was explaining to RP, how to put the ball in a scrum. How long has Robbie been playing RL? He seemed to be getting very frustrated with Mr. Laughton!

Finally, who was it that eventually persuaded him to put the Higson incident on report? It took long enough!

Me thinks the penalty, the talk with the player, and eventually the icident being put on report would not ave happenned but for the Leigh supporters and the 4th Official

I thought that! RP was chewing is ear walking off at HT and when he blew for offside near our try line and pointed at RP he just looked and pointed back

But nothing is done about it.

Well folk who go to watch professional RL games do. Laughton gets in for free AND actually gets paid.

A ref is only as bad as his touch judges.
I thought that the one with the red flag was poor but the one with the yellow/green flag was one of the worst that i've seen and should be removed from the official list,
the ref himself probably gave his best but as this was no better than his previous displays at leigh then I have to conclude that in my humble opinion he is not up to officiating at professional matches and i think he should retire now rather than make a fool of himself every week.
