But to have a marketing strategy you need to dedicate someone to take care of it or it will fall apart at some point. That is another wage or wages. To print flyers and posters for each game is a £1000+. Most of our players are part time with other commitments and the others are probably doing the community stuff. Tell me if I'm wrong but did the club not recently have the players in the Spinningate Centre playing games with the kids? If you had a second job where you worked mostly in the evening and at weekends. Then were told you had to go and spend more time away from your familly and mates maybe for no pay ( i don't know if they get any thing I am just putiing a scenario together) would you be happy. The players are there to play rugby with the odd PR show if you ask me not to be used all the time for it. |

Having seen how hard and how many hours some people at our club put in I feel they need defending sometimes. Like I said before they are coming back slowly. When the stayaways come and see trys like todays, in surroundings like we have they'll be back.

Good post mate.A lot of our players are part time which means they probabley do 40 hours a week and then give "i know give the wrong word" lots of time to leigh rl. if they give up anymore time for the club iv'e got nothing but admiration for them. |

Word of mouth get into peoples faces about this. Leythers come to the LSV for great entertainment.
The tipping point could well be if we qualify for the NRC Final in July.  |

Next step is to promote the Catalans game now, maybe consider the barby outside if the weathers ok buy fresh burgers etc (can be frozen if rains).
Put up big Marque(sp) outside of legends bar get players in their after they've done the presentations upstairs create a MM bar style atmosphere, a band maybe or disco in the marque.
Try and get the kids wanting to come back.
