As well you know Wakefield have done nothing illegally or morally wrong, just simply played the rules, your coach in conversation with rughead on boots an all stated as much, but implied it was not done in the spirit of the game. I for one don't accept it but here's a couple of examples of not playing in the spirit of the game, Wigan deliberately breached the salary cap in an effort to stay in SL when Noble signed Fielden, they were docked 4pts reduced to 2pts on appeal after Lindsay threatened the RFL with court action, and if we come a bit closer to home and please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but has two of your players have been found guilty of taking performance enhancing drugs, both not exactly in the spirit of the game and extremely embarrassing for the clubs involved and their fans, and you have the nerve to say we have no place in the elite of our sport, what a tit you are  |

Not sure why the salary cap difference is being thrown around so much, it's not like we weren't aware of it all season, I can only guess it's because Leigh have lost the last 2 games. What I will say is that they have lost against good SL teams, regardless of where they finished this year.
The Wakey game is Leigh's chance to stand up and show what they are capable of and the last 2 games should have helped show Rowls where his weaknesses are.
Hopefully should be a good game.

Never said any rules had been broken and I have only read of one player. Good job that it seems some of the Leigh players clearly don't want promotion. Defeat snatched from the jaws of victory in 2 out of 1st 3 games. I am a very angry man at the moment. |

Tbf, when Chase is on game there's not many who can best him in RL. You have a point with Miller though. By all accounts he didn't have a great game either, yet has come off better.
Pressure is on to beat the other Champ sides, and while you may think that that isn't a big ask after your season so far, they are going to be one-off games. Just like those games you beat SL opposition in earlier in the year. You'll need to be switched on to get a result, as any complacency will see you, realistically, out of the comp. |
