I have read all the post on here with interest .First of all I would like to thank wholeheartedly the people who have saved our club from going under in fact can't thank you all enough Secondly I would think that the club has volunteers doing important things at the club because there is no money to pay for the said roles .

Correct Lynda. There are a lot of people trying their best to help.

There is also no reason for bickering and being personal, I myself have had heated discussions with Starbug in the past, but whatever disagreements we have had I have no doubt in my mind that he has the clubs best interests at heart.

I think that applies to pretty much everyone who has tried and has helped the club in whatever way they could.

The individual groups do need to set a date and all sit round together and have a proper discussion about what their roles are.

apart from only one or two "digs" i find this thread excelent because as i read it, there are a few people who are hard working, passionate and seem to have the time, ideas and ability to "make things happen". It does look to me that these same people are getting or are already frustrated at the descisions that are, or are not being taken. I read that as a possitive, because it shows they care or they think they have a stratagy that should or could be benefical to the growth of Leigh centurions. I think a "clear the air" or "organisation stratagy" meeting should be called including all these bodies (TDC LISA chair people Community Dept/Trust/Apprentices NSFG) to Synchronize their efforts to complement each other giving them a very big, fecking huge net to cast to feed the club for many lifetimes, but it does take Dialogue and i for one can not see why this shouldnt be achieved if the passion and belief on this thread is anything to go on .

The Watcher would like to point out that the club has a choice of whom to work with or whom not to work with, it appears that they do not want to align themselves with the Community Dept. The Watcher thinks that perhaps they have a very good reason for that. Just because Starbug comes on here bleating about it being a poor decision does not mean it is a poor decision. For goodness sake people have a little faith in your board of directers & others who are running the club.

If the Watcher thinks he has any idea what we is talking about , he is welcome to give us the reasons why , you would expect out of common courtesy for the club to explain to the Community Trust and myself as they were happy to take my money to set things up in the 1 st place why they have come to this decision

Maybe The Watcher would like to contact me either publically or privately with his identity and then I will know if his opinions have any value whatsoever ?

Ouch, why would they use private funding to set up a community department? That's a bit of a kick in the nads, one would assume a community initiative would come from club funds or from council funds to get people off their backsides.

Your stupidity amazes me at times, what are ' club funds ' ? , how do you obtain ' council funds ' ? , this is Championship RL, not SL, we dont have a multi, multi millionaire to pick up the tab for any ' extra's '

You apply for sporting grants from various bodies with the idea that you're getting kids off their backsides and into sport. If the club can't afford to run one so be it, you wouldn't expect a private investor to tip 80 grand in... and I'M the stupid one...

I through my company put £ 30,000 through the sportsmatch system , giving us 60 K in total to set up a proper community dept in 2003 , from then on we were able to gain grant funding , a couple of years ago we changed the Community Dept to a trust as that makes much more funding available

So dont try to tell me about applying for grants , I know more and have access to more information than your tiny mind could cope with , the issue at this point is that the club have rejected the offer to work with the community Trust despite there being no cost to the club

Warrington have a Community trust , the Service Level Agreement that the club has rejected was in fact based on Warringtons SLA

Riiiight so now we're back to square one; why aren't you raising this in a meeting with fellow members and organisations instead of p*ssing and moaning and saying you're staying away FOREVEEERRRRR on a forum? If this community trust has as much to offer as you believe then why not front the relevant people at a meeting
