That will be one mightily disappointed grandson, if true. Ever since the signing was announced, he's been trawling through 'youtube' clips of Goodwin, and was aking for his name on the back of his Leigh shirt next season. Relegation is going to make class recruitment extremely difficult.

Not many class player in SL now.If you pick our best players we still have to use other nationalities to give aussies half a game |

I would like that, but there are likely to be a number of 'quota' spots available now we are relegated. Also, whilst it will be very difficult to achieve, we need to be building the nucleus of a squad with SL in mind, for 2019. Would Langi be good enough for that? |

He can be, and has age on his side. The onus has to be on the coaches to be able to improve players, and create a team where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Can the current setup do that? |

Evans no great loss IMO - would have like to have seen Goodwin the SL - not a player for the championship.
I agree with posts that we should be looking at younger players who can be improved.
In fairness to the coaching staff players such as Acton, McNally, Reynolds and Hood have all improved as the season has gone on. We should build our team around them for next season. That is if they stay !!

| As I posted elsewhere, Bryson Goodwin was a fully contracted Leigh RLFC player for 2018.
The club have also respected his wish as a 32 year old to play Super League so Leigh have agreed to transfer him to Warrington for a fee well in excess of £100k for a player yet to play a single game for us.
A superb bit of business for Leigh RLFC, I am sure everyone will agree.

Would have loved to see him play for us. However, speaking as a youngster (!!) I do have concerns about signing players over the age of 30 - however fit they are supposed to be. For me, that's been a problem with our pack this season. I do not question their experience, fitness, or commitment, but recovery becomes more and more difficult for them, with each passing game and |I believe things just caught up with them.
It's supposed to be a young man's game now!
