Yes the team is improving but also ageing and when you look at the average age of the squad, a few will need replacing sooner rather than later

I've come on here in response to a Leigh fan who for some reason wanted to drag us into a a thread regarding your unsuccessful recruitment.

A few injuries in reverse order right now would show a significant difference in performances. Derek Beaumont is no fool,and he knows what is required what to bring to Leigh Centurions,and to have a better set up with academies, and youth progression for this great club. You are welcome to come here & talk RL anytime, in fact the vast majority of posts by Wakey fans seem quite well informed & though I might not have liked the tactics employed prior to the Q8's in 2015, I would most likely not be too upset if we used them ourselves if it meant survival (so I shouldn't complain).

There are many similarities I feel between our two clubs in terms of our standing with surrounding clubs, we do the best we can with what we have.
