No doubt we got a few lucky breaks but I think what Paul ment and I tend to agree is that the daft passes came as a direct result of Leigh's defensive smoothering of their big men and halves.
Fev thought they could steamroll us IMO with the big forwards but we met them head on and they were forced to push the pass by our Defense which led to the intercept try's.
We defended as a team and it was a joy to watch mate.

| Quote: mr. chairman "Well as an ex coach if one of my players got an interception then he was inbetwween the passer and the receiver ,,,,,, no mans land , when he should have been in front of an attacker , BUT I have seen players read the game so fast that it becomes an art to get an intercept . Ruddy does it well but was found out in the Wigan game through lying up'"
Gary Schofield was the best I saw at the said art.

I would think most modern day coaches would want you to stay in the line . Safety first or boring rugby as I call it'"
Percentages I suppose Keith but I agree boring.
Those tries scored in that manner yesterday make for fantastic entertainment up until Jonny Pownalls last try I think it was about five from time it was a real nail biter.

Well he was correct .....they threw out 3 speculators and great defence enabled us to catch all 3 and score 3 long range tries. Great defence IMO.

I do see your point in that if the passer was pressurised and threw a bad ball then yes good defence . But next time if he's a good passer he can outwit the out of position catcher . Jesus this is getting technical ......so great defence for the sake of an argument lol'"
The three intercepted passes were thrown by 3 different players.
Ryan's was obvious' Riddy and Jonny Pownalls were from slow looping lazy passes.
When I played rugby I was known as the interception King.

Indeed ,you can be made to look foolish when missing the intercept but all three were shocking passes and worthy of the end result. Next week we could see a totally different scenario but regards yesterdays interceptions, great defence.

| Quote: mr. chairman "Yes that's the way it looked andy , I love the kind of player that takes a risk and backs himself , they are the ones that make the game exciting . Tommy street played on the edge if he went below that he looked an average player , when he played right on the line he was a great player . I never once said to timmy hold back , he wouldn't have took any notice anyway lol'"
Timmy had a great pair of hands for a front rower didn't he just and was vastly underrated IMO.
I remember in our first division days early 90s he was used in some of the set moves we used to use at the time and remember him taking the ball second man and throwing a long ball to put David Hill over at Belle as an example.
Timmy had a spell at that time before he went up to Hull as one of the best props in the british game IMO.
