| I have put in my questionnaire that the club needs to do a massive open day inviting every school club and houshold in the Leigh area. There is propbably 95% of the population never set a foot anywhere near the LSV. Have a tour of the ground. Have recordings of match days blasting out of the speakers to show people what the atmosphere could be like. Have all the schools provide a 7 a side team for boys a girls rugby and a it's a knockout team. Have it over a couple of days like a festival. Stalls, funfair. food. To finish it off have a firework display at the end. It would cost but any PR costs. The club needs to really get into the community now more than ever. Show the people of this area that the club would love for them to be there.

| Family Ticket for £30 for a family of 4.
Regular Game Day (TV obviously can change this) Everyone in the town used to know if they were at a loose end Leigh played at 3pm on a Sunday, now even the hardcore fans don't know when we're playing.
Kids U16 £1. Invest in the future, the teenagers will spen in the ground too.
I know we couldn't do this this year, but hammer the advertisements on Season Ticket, Touchdown Club and Replica sales pre season, and more specifically in early December. Me and my brothers all used to get a Leigh shirt on Xmas day, so much so that you can tell in old photos the year by the Leigh tops.
Warm up game, be it East, Miners or any other game in any age group, just get a game on so the fans have something to entertain them before the game, and also you are adding between 100-200 people to every gate with players, family, freinds etc. All spending.
HT entertainment, local dance troops, bands, singers, anything. Any up and coming talent should be backed by the club and one day maybe we get some reward back.
Replica discounts, if you're wearing a home shirt (for the 2013 season) to the game you get a £1 discount on entry.

| It is quite obvious that the users of this forum pay the current rates to watch Leigh and are happy to do so. Would a neutral supporter of rugby league pay £18 when they can watch SL for one pound more? a no brainer.
When Leigh moved up to SL the gate price went up, newer reduced on relegation and still priced as SL.
At Kirkhall Lane the terraces and stands around the ground were well occupied, the new stadium appears sterile, lack of numbers and closed stands.
Part of the SL franchise was an average home crowd size of 2500. If ticket prices were reduced to £10 for the rest of the season would the crowds increase, the only way to find out is try it.
How many more stewards would be required to open the full stadium and why would LSV want more off the club to open the whole ground.

The only problem is that to watch your child at amateur level is free, to watch NCL rugby cost £2.50. if parents want to watch their kids play at LSV in a curtain raiser or half time game then leave the ground they still have to pay £16 for the pleasure.
How would the discount on entry work when no money is taken on the gate?

| The club could easily tell whichever teams that are playing to meet at reception and have a checklist of names of parents to let them in, at that time there wouldn't be any normal spectators around trying to fiddle the system.
You still have to buy a ticket, at the ticket office. Easy.

| Block bookings, say a book of 4 match tickets for £55. These could be used all in one day or spread out over 4 matches and it should allow you choose whether you can use the north or west stand.I also think reffy was right to suggest charging £15 across the board, £2 extra to pre book a seat.

| I can't argue against a flat fee for North or West Stand, I'll still be on the terrace for as long as my legs will hold me, I don't choose to stand there to save £2, I choose to stand there becuase I enjoy the game more.
The question is, and pardon the pun, but would this put more bums on seats?

| We've got to try the league match ticket book....the idea of Starbugs
As we dont know the game days yet for next season and as always the TV games we have no choice on, a match ticket would work out fine.
We have 14 teams next season in our league so more games also, so have a 5 match book with a small discount, and a ten match ticket book, make it flexible so you can use it all on one game if you and four mates, who dont normally go decide on a Friday night to go and watch Leigh instead of hitting the pubs.
Fev have had this or similar this season.
It help people with shifts who cant go every game.

| Problem here is that the only people likely to buy a book of tickets are the ones who will attend anyway and normally pay per game. Offer a discount (which would be tiny) and we lose money.
Can't imagine many people who currently don't attend paying £50 or £60 upfront for a book of tickets. The idea is to get more watching - not to save money for the ones who already go.
The bottom line is that £16 / £18 is alot of money in the current climate and certainly too much for many people to afford on 80mins of rugby against not too glamorous opponents on a day that doesn't even suit them.
No 1 aim cost....4000 @ £8 is the same as 2000 @ £16 but a 4000 crowd would have so many advantages. The more that attend could make those that don't think they are missing something and then may want to become part of it themselves.
No 2 aim is to keep 'em coming back so the team have to entertain weekly and the matchday experience should be fun.
Then you look for ways to get extra £££'s from the ones who then attend eg raffles/sales.
May need to take a gamble but unless we do I cannot see us ever getting larger crowds.

| Where did everybody come from when we played Leeds? It just might entice some of those to go to more matches if there was an incentive like I've already mentioned, "Block Bookings". Pre season of course, and maybe part way through the season.

They came because it was Leeds - simples.
They would if it was Saints, Pies, Wire etc - but not York, Keighley, Batley etc

| Quote: salfordlad "Well if you mean the price of admission and season tickets that will depend on the club's financial situation.
They budgeted for 1800 crowds which sadly we have not achieved but I don't think folk paying £18 on a match day to sit in the West Stand attracts walk up support so I would scrap the early bird offer and make it £16 and £14.
At York on Sunday concessions cost a tenner. I have said before concession prices are too low at Leigh and given the length of time us older supporters have been watching the club I don't think an increase there would reduce our attendances.'"
As a supporter for over 65 years and still travelling from Clitheroe with my (almost) equally elderly mate, plus whoever else we can persuade from the Clitheroe Pies and Saints fans, I could find no arguement with putting up the concessions to £10.00, whichever stand one goes to. If it helps the club, so be it.

Jimmy mi owd mate , how are you ?Im a bit under the weather today , ive got a cold in a heatwave thats my luck .Good to see you still manage to get to games , and try to bring other fans too, good on yer .
As for Franks point about concessions , i heard a fair few Leythers complaining about the prices at York on Sunday , as it was then another £2.00p to sit down , making it £12.00p in all which isnt cheap ,im happy with the prices at the LSV as they are , and im a season ticket holder anyway , i want to get this season over first before worrying about next seasons prices .

| Well if Leythers are complaining about the prices at York they won't be happy with paying the prices Non Relegation clubs charge.
Maybe if we ever do get back into the top league it won't bother the ones Charlie is referring to
