| It is worth a lot. If you are not watching him and someone else is watching him every week, they are likely to have a better idea of how he is doing. By the way, I think you are getting confused about the hero worship and the likening to Mal Meninga. I do not remember AJ having his own song and flag. Wasn't that some other bloke?

| Well there are 2 schools of thought on AJ.
For myself I have always rated him' but because of the squad we had last season he was esentially a utility player.
He is in a settled position at the Lions and has stayed injury free which will obviously impact on his game notwithstanding Good Friday.

| The thing is though Frank, despite us having a good squad last year, who in your opinion should have been nailed on at right centre? Did we in your opinion have an outstanding right centre? Sure we borrowed Armstrong and Evans from time to time, but who did we have of our own. We changed who we put there quite frequently. Hill and Ellis were obviously our outstanding players last year. I do not remember us having anyone of their calibre at right centre?

| Armstrong was with us all season and imo was outstanding for us.
Was Littler the other main centre?

| Armstrong was NOT with us all the time and I am sure you will remember Littler was in the backrow nearly every week.

| That bloke with the flag (not the touch judge) was always in the left centre. Maden was used on the right wing.

Maybe it was armstrongs quality that stood out which made me think he played most games

| Maden and McGilvary were on the wing most games. AJ played centre when he played, Ive never seen him let us down.

You would have thought it !!
He's better than Carmont Innee ??
Higson still very green for me, and glad he has been given the opportunity for regular rugby.
Misses too many 1on 1 tackles for me and isn't the best reader of a game either. He can leave his winger on their own at times.
A good heart on him though, and with a bit of meat on him, would make an excellent wide running second rower.
Centre though ??? IMHO - Defensive qualities let him down.

| I don't remember Carmont playing at Leigh recently. He did not have to be better than him to get a game at Leigh last year. I do not remember us having a star studded three quarter line last year. We are talking about him getting a crack at a starting spot at Leigh for God's sake, not for England. As for all the so called frailties you reckon he's got, the same could be said for most players getting regular starts in so called top championship sides week in week out.

Blimey cocker, let it go will you. We had Nanyn (like him or not he's been a points machine at this level), and Armstrong (mainly) in the s. You are saying you trust McCormacks opinion, last year we had Milward, I know who I'd back as a coach.
FWIW, my memories of Higson tend to be along the lines of play a game, miss 3 through injury - probably a bit unfair but we all have different views and opinions

Calm down Adam, you were let go by Leigh for whatever reason and are now playing regular rugby. If you want to sign back for Leigh keep it up and you never know.
I agree with Matt, people seem to worship the guy and he has never stood out for me, just seemed that he was local and people knew his family and that was enough to warrant a place!

| Ha. Perfectly calm thanks. Simply saying Adam is good enough to hold down a regular spot in a championship team. Don't think that amounts to hero worship. I still haven't made the flag with him on or devised a song for him just yet.
