Again agree with everything above, been a pleasure to watch the leythers home and away . Now I just hope the club get stuck in and show us what's happenIng next year. If they need help with anything aswell ask for volunteers . I'm free Sundays for the next few month

Absolutely right and now that the dust has settled and people have had time to reflect i really hope they think about the majority of the season and not just the latter stages.
It really has been one of the most enjoyable seasons in the last 15 years. |

| Cannot disagree with any of whats been said.
We've performed brilliantly and its been done against a backdrop of off field drama yet the lads held out, at the end we ran out of gas and perhaps we had one drama too much, lets not forget the last 2 sides played very well to beat us - neither result was a disgrace.
Having said that it cannot detract from what has been a fantastic season.
The coaching team and players this season have been responsible for me and my family watching some of the best RL played by Leigh for years - we have been entertained by these players playing the game the way it should be played.
The NRC Final was a fantastic day out and the comparrison to our last NRC was like chalk and cheese -this was a unique team we watched play coached by a unique guy and his team, the team spirit went from field of play to terracing all season with ease - no mean feat these days, the feel good factor came back.
I hope as many of the players and staff stay with us as is possible but to those that are leaving be it retiring or moving on to pastures new I thank you for your efforts and for giving 110% week in week out.
I wish you well and hope you have success and enjoyment in whatever your doing - of couse that doesn't extend to if your ever playing against Leigh  |

The consecutive thrashings of SDL's new whipping boys!!....and maintaining our record against them at the Stobart!! We'll miss the guaranteed six points over the coming seasons!! =#FF0000 Lets be honest Widnes have never been intrested since they were promised a route away from the likes of us in 2008
Blackpool - the 'never say die' attitude, and off the cuff nature of our play this season epitomised in one magical move with less than a minute left on the clock!! =#FF0000 Should never have been even trading blows or been behind to the poorest Fax side in last 5 seasons
Try of the season (and of many a season!) away at Fev on Easter Monday...Nanyn planting one in the corner, infront of the travelling Leythers - after a sweeping move down field, were the ball went through about eight pairs of hands.....then 'The Magic Boot' having the composure to add the extras, from the touchline, and tie the game!! Maintaining our unbeaten start to the season, and it felt as good as a victory!!
That 'never say die' attitude again summed up by the victory up at Barrow, were we came back from a 14point deficit on no fewer than three occasions to secure the victory!! =#FF0000 Barrow were also rans with unrest putting pay to any realistic challenge this season so a expected victory was made hard work
Overall though - the team spirit!! =#FF0000 Yeah ok
 Sheff have team spirt matey we had a top paid coach and top played players who basically earned there corn till the buisness end
Best of luck to Basil - I hope the Cas fans realise how good a coach they are getting!! If we do ever get back to the 'top table', I'd love to see him back at this spiritual home!! =#FF0000 he will only end up back here if he fails AGAIN!
Thanks to RHP - It has been a pleasure to see a genuine modern era league legend pull on a Leigh shirt...and fair play to the lad for coming back from the freak early season injury to play out his farewell season, when it would have been easier to just take the money and keep his feet up!! Best of luck with the media career. =#FF0000 Has been who never really did much Watson couldnt for a 3rd of the cost
Best of luck to Jamie Ellis....although he has been out of sorts in the last few weeks (and the disappointment was etched on his face last night as I shook his hand, and wished him well), he has this season been head and shoulders above any other scrum-half in this division, and I hope the confidence he'll have derived from his season under the tutelage of Basil will allow him to make a go of things at Hull. [col Too Fat and slow for SL IMO time will tell needs to lose a stone and quick or=#FF0000
Chris Hill - what can we say!! A fantastic servant to the club over the last 7 seasons (7 seasons at a club outside SL is virtually unheard of these days!!)
More than deserves his shot at SL, and I have no doubt he'll be in the Warrington first team next season, and will be an England regular by the time the World Cup comes round in 2013!! I hope Chris and his lovely family will continue to come and see how we are getting on without him - Wire fixtures permitting. Best of luck Chris - but I don't think you'll need it!!
Time will tell expect him back within 3 years
To the rest of the lads - thanks for a fantastic season. To those who move on, all the best. Fingers crossed we avoid the potential decimation of the current squad, but I hope we continue to make the best of what we end up with.....and a great opportunity for the 'next generation' to make the step up to the first team - let's hope that over the coming seasons we can create that production line of local quality youngsters that the successful SDL clubs manage. If we are to emege as a true community club, these local youngsters will help form that bond between players and fans.
Here's to the future - strap yourselves in for that roller-coaster ride that is the life of a Leyther!!!
And remember......its only another 10 years 'til we are due to win the Challenge Cup again!!!
