Sorry to say, but Stevo and Eddie Hemmings sound more like two old duffers more and more.
I prefer the Thursday night games, partly becuase of the breath of fresh air and knowledge the commentators bring. The game is far more honest at the level.

hemmings has his own agenda he dosent like leigh hes a widnes fan and for a guy who works for sky hes views are suppost to be impartial and when ever sky come to leigh theres always one of them who has a pop anyway if its not hemmings its brian carney if its not carney its phil clarke they never give us any credit or big us up like widnes or barrow and halifax.

Maybe so about Hemmings and Carney, but i thinkPhil Clarke is very fair, and talks alot of sense.

They have no need to slag us off, we have no chance of a SL license anyway. Stevo, Hemmings and that little leprechaun love to bash us. Stuff them all.

Last night was actually the best atmosphere at an England game in a long while, including games against the Aussies.

but whilst theres a chance why give up? Lets keep doing wot we're doing on the pitch & hope for the best supporting our club we're Leythers & we support LEIGH

Haven't watched a re-run yet, and I'm pleased the singing was heard. I thought it might not have aome across on the telly. I confused a group of Wiganers behind me with my Giants shirt on - they tried to poke some good humoured fun at Giants, for me to turn around and say I am Leigh born and bred, only got the Giants shirt on so I could be spotted easily by people I hadn't met before but had spoken to online. The vast majority of fans of any club love the banter and fun, and give as good as they get. My favs were I'd rather have a pastie than a pie, and the salmon army - and the stand up if you hate Wigan was met with laughter anywhere around me, people saw the funny side of being in a standing area

Fantastic that the sun shone, great to see friends and family again, foregone conclusion we would win like that, but still enjoyed it

We had some pie eaters at the side of us sat down on the steps during that song, classic. Top marks for whoever started the Mick Nanyn when a kick was finally missed.

It would have been much better singing songs that showed how proud we are to be Leythers and not anti Wigan though, the we hate Wigan song is frankly boring

I don't disagree, it lasted all of 2 choruses, and there was plenty of England chants too - and when the flute song started I shouted giv over and looked apologetically at the Wigan fans. But the stand up was just funny - people have got senses of humour you know.

All I was trying to say was that the people around me were laughing not moaning - fans from all over

Anyway, it's up to everyone to sing England songs - I didn't hear the East, West or South stand starting any off...England or otherwise...apart from the drummer getting a beat going

I loved the Salmon Army song which was immediately followed by a rendition of 'It's pink and you know it is' - that made me laugh.
