| How did Robbie not score THAT try when the Fev full back held him up?
And why oh why does Stanton keep trying to burst through a set of big forwards when our big forwards can't even do it? He never breaks doing this and makes only 1 or 2 metres - waste of a tackle.

| Fev won he tactical battle against our somewhat tired looking team.
I have hardly missed a match this season and have to side with Snowy a little, however one dimensional is a litle harsh.
We do need to run more straight lines and play it a little simpler at times.
All in all I have enjoyed what I have seen this season - more than in recent seasons and has been said, we have dropped 3 points all year. If we continue with that sort of form we will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season

Whilst I admire Stantons bravery and willingness to look for work and give the forwards a rest, it would be better left to trying it when the opposition are on the back foot when he has more chance of making 10 metres plus or even breaking the line.
Hardman has a good reputation for try saving tackles (particularly holding players up over the line). Also, whilst on the subject of Hardman, I thought he looked quicker than I have seen him recently and overall had a fine game.

Get LEIGH outta wigan: |
|
| well i'm with bart man.
i find it absurd to call our tactics which have served us so well so far.
afterall we've just lost 24.16 to the team with the best defence & best attack in the division.

| I can see snowy's reasoning behind what he says. Thing is we'd win most games playing the way we do but we need a plan b when it's not working. I couldn't see a plan b last night and we just kept sticking to the same moves all night. Having said that, I don't think we had the same intensity as against Widnes. Maybe the short turnaround had an effect on us.

| lets not get in to the slangin game we lost a match thats all could be a gud thing as a bit of preasure is off us now as being unbeaten shows we are only human 3 games in 12 days is a tough ask of any side and it showed a bit last night so dont think fev fans should be to cock a hoop just yet they were the better side last night against a tired lookin team but we will bounce back i have said all season that we do lack pace outside and we do seem to get caught out a bit in that area MN is great from 20 yrds out but thats all i said all season that we are just short now of a fast centre and winger to really finish the team off

| I was afraid that Leigh would be tired against Fev because of the Widnes match; such a big game only five days before can take it out of you. Fev ran out of steam against Toulouse for the same reason, they arm wrestled with Widnes a few days earlier.
Cullen said that he'd noticed that Leigh had played a different pattern against each team they'd played this year so I don't think that Millward has run out of ideas or strategy yet.
I just think they were knackered and didn't run their weight to the extent that they have previously.
Chin up everyone. Keeps it interesting. We'll get them at the business end.

| They had a better defense then us, with all the dual registered and Nash back though, I feel we can beat them.

| Someone who annoys me is Ricky Bibey because why does he run with the ball or should I say walk in half heartily? If he run with some conviction & a little more pace like he use to then he'd be unstoppable. Makes you wonder is the fact that he'd injured his shoulder not so long ago effecting his rugby beacause it plays on his mind?

Not sure about Nash although 'if' McCarthy,Mitchell and Emmitt had played I have no doubt the scoreline would have favoured us! Moirrison,Luluai and Stanton arn't good enough at this level which makes our squad very weak.
If Stanton is in the team for his pace I could understand it however, he is being used as a 'Battering Ram' ! monotonous watching him run into opposion and, having no effect!

I disagree Hill had a good game & Donlan did wot he needed to do but we did miss Emmitt AKA the unit last night.

| Can't believe some of the bollox that gets posted on here some times
We lost a game it was going to happen sooner or later so all this crap about being tired and no plan B is complete Bollox .
Now I went to the match last night and I'm off to Widnes watching the Easts on Saturday and to Blackpool for the National Cup Final the following Saturday I hope I don't get jet lag or to tired watching 3 games in 11 days
Get a grip all we did was lose a game but still got a bonus point and IMO we missed our DCs

| Good win for Fev last night. They battled hard and ultimately came out on top (just). It seemed apparent from the early exchanges that Fev had been building up to this match like a cup final for the last twelve days. Leigh unsurprisingly looked very jaded at times. Who could blame them for that after the schedule of fixtures they have faced over the last couple of months. The fact that they have only dropped two points during that period is an excellent achievement. Well done. It is true that, mainly due to fatigue, Leigh were not quite up to their usual high standards last night. However, that said, first half it was only one try each and the try they got was from a kick, so it is not as if they were cutting us to ribbons. Second half, three tries to two and again one of those was from a kick and one from a blatantly forward pass. I thought Fev played well last night, but I must admit, given the circumstances, I believe when Leigh meet them in more favourable ones, it could be a very different story. Well played Fev, but a re-energised Leigh side is still going to take some stopping IMO.

| Ironically I thought Fev's deserved success was based on exactly what our success has been based on - a well-drilled, energy sapping defence. For my money, we have worn teams down with stifling defence and then gone on to exploit that.
I think we were tired last night and even more so, when fev had finished with us! Alos, we were missing our 'D.C's' and, like it or not, we do rely on them.
