Interesting! But will the reformed club still be playing in the Championship? How far will the RFL be prepared to bend over. I am sure they will come up with yet another crass decision.

if there are any points deduction then it would be for the 2010 season as the 2009 has officially ended.

Its unlikely it will work in our favour. Widnes went pop at seasons end, 9 point penalty the following season, not moved down a division.

I wouldn't get any hopes up, if it had been any other club (bar Tolouse of course) then the RFL would let them go to the wall but as its them well....

Speaking as a Donny fan we have been told by the RFL we are in the last chance saloon !
It doesn't seem to be the same attitude for expansion teams.

Get the name of the team changed to Le Donny Hawaythelads Celtic, open a PObox in North Wales, have the Post Office redirect the mail to Doncaster, the RFL will never know, you may even be awarded monies to buy foreign players and keep them full time. |
