| Young Gregg will be back for Featherstone a week on Sunday. No pint risking him this weekend so very wise to give him 10 days off.

| Why isn't Brierley in the squad? I thought he was available for "all" our remaining games?

Where would you play him Alan had he been selected - we have a couple of saints players very capable of covering full back

If he's available and we've not picked him with us having a very limited back line what's the point of signing him

I'd have played him full back. Whilst Costello is very capable there, we are also short of a threequarter, with Thornley, Forsyth and Simm 'naturals'. Cox has never let us down, but Costello would give a better option there.
Unless of course, Duffy is being 'canny' about our squad?

| It is still possible that he will make an appearance and I agree with Alan re playing him at fullback. He would naturally fit into the plays that McNally loops into and would have the pace to complete them. Another thought however is that JD did say he will have to force his way into a winning team and he may be actually putting his words into action in a display of support for the players that have been working so hard.

When I first saw him for Leigh a few years ago I said he reminded me of Sam Tomkins and that he could develop into a very good full back, his link up play and pace were obvious from the. Years on a number of coaches have decided that is not his position- has he ever played their, why should we “risk” him when we have better options.
Looks like he’s a half back or nowt, and as he’s signed either Riddy or woods are going to miss out at some point, because we can get cover a lot cheaper than him

| I am fairly certain young Ryan is the full back on Sunday although I must confess I have no idea why he is not named in the initial 19.
However, we have all seen in the past that the 19 man squad announcements can change dramatically come kick off.

Has he ever played full back before Harold?? it seems an obvious position for him but can’t see that he’s ever been tried there

Yes. While playing for Huddersfield at fullback he scored a hat trick against Wigan, at Wigan.

IBRC, Wigan won that game so perhaps not the best instance to include in his FB resumé.
