Have to disagree - not a classic but a few incidents to keep the interest as well as willing Chris to score a try. There have been far worse finals than that one. On the bright side, W***n were not in it.

I thought the first half was pretty engrossing with plenty of incident (not least the [ialmost[/i Hunslet-esque weather), but the second half was never really going to get going with the amount of possession and territory that Wire had, was just a case of how many they were going to win by.

Chuffed for Chris to get a winner's medal and great that Tyke got on the scoresheet as well, not forgetting Higham having a decent game.

A really boring game and it was never in doubt the result, after the Leeds disallowed try. With not liking Warrington made it worse for me but fair play to Wire. Wish we played Richard Myler less so we could have kept him.lol

Quote: TV BOY "Don't know if it's just me and I'm over the moon for Wire and our Chris (not really our Chris but I'm talking Leyther familly) but it was the most boring final I have ever watched. I have watched 70% of our games this year and they were all more exciting than that. Oh sorry, apart from the water polo game at Hunslet. Before you start I was aware of the deluge that occured but it was very uneventful.'"

Here's a quick tip - instead of leaving Leigh games after 56 minutes...stay for the full 80 and the chances are that Brierley will score a couple! icon_biggrin.gif

Didn't think it was boring, quite enjoyed it and expect it would be more exciting if you watched it at Wembley with the atmosphere

A lot of empty seats at wembley yesterday, not way it used to be. The game is dying thanks to the RFL

Yesterday's attendance was 79,000 which is on a par with the Wigan Era at the other Wembley. The 90,000+ crowds were in the 80s so I don't think you can lay the blame at RFL door. I think nearly 80,000 is an excellent crowd these days.

Nothing wrong with the attendance.
As for the game, first half boring as sin, second half much more entertaining, but the game as a whole was not a patch on the NRC final between fax and Fev.

There where. A lot of those empty seats belong to companies who bought them when the new stadium was built so they are not available to the general public.

The crowd was very good in my view.

Just hope I get to see our team play there sooner rather than later.

To get attendances up however for league games' this might happen if licenscing is dustbinned.

Frank if Leigh played in the Challenge Cup Final , it would not be played at Wembley , but on Fantasy Island icon_wink.gif icon_wink.gif icon_wink.gif a Plane ,a Plane .

Agreed Reffy it looked a lot fuller than previous years when they have just said it was a sell out. The middle tier of wembley is for club wembley people who own those seats for nearly everthing that goes on there apart from some concerts. If they choose not to turn up thats their prerogative which they pay a lot of money for.
