| I would bring back P and R , but also allow new franchise teams, but like they did with the only sucessful franchise team Catalans, allowing them 3 years to prepare before bringing them in, thus telling the rest of SL that when this team is coming in the least proforming team of them all will make way for them.
Bring in a scoring system instead of a license.
ie:-
points from 1 to 10 stadium
1 to 10 youth development
1 to 10 finances
1 to 10 sucess on the pitch in our league
Score all teams from SL and the championship

| Why not just have P&R every three years. If your the bottom two when it's time to drop you drop. But in order for any type of P&R to work the massive gap between us and them needs to be reduced. Liciencing will not work because someone will allways bend the rules. Rules are better and fairer when they are simple and open.

| Quite easy give the bottom two tiers of RL more cash so the 'gap' wouldn't be as wide (though with one or two additions I think with this squad we could live with the bottom half of SL)

| 12 team Super League, bottom side relegated, winners of Championship promoted (not sure whether to do this via the play-offs but leaning towards doing it as winners of the regular season) so long as they satisfy basic ground criteria and are seen to be financially solvent (something that in theory should already be solved by the salary cap). Simples.

| If we are following some kind of example for franchising that is the norm for the American sports like the NFL, then how about following what they do for merchandising. I think I'm right in that any sales of team shirts, calendars, cups, flags, etc. from every club or outlet get sent to a central money pot that is split equally between all clubs as it is the sport in general that is the product and any individual club cannot survive without the others also being there. Maybe it is something that could work at the Championship level on it's own to get better prices for merchandise for all in bulk.

Makes complete sense to me and would be a big contract for a company such as X Blades etc. The NRL use a similar arrangement as well in terms of general merchandise, with only the replica shirts having different suppliers.

| I quite like the Lancs yorks idea with maybe the grand final coming from the winners of each. You couldnt just relegate the 'lowest placed team from yorkshire' if they finished 8th though.
I too agree that expansion franchises should be kept different and given 2 or three years notice e.g. league grows by 2 for the 2015 season, decision on expansion made after RLWC, other spot up for grabs by the usual process

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

I agree Fred , although I would look to be spending some of it for them , rather than just giving it to them
I Championship marketing director [ resonsible for growing the comp and clubs ]
4/5 Localised marketing managers each with 4/5 club to look after
1 Marketing operative at each club , but working as a team with the local manager , ie operatives from each club might all work for Leigh one day/week , then Oldham the following day /week
A budget for each club to spend
2/3 teams of Vehicle , driver and assistant to work on a rota basis with the local managers and their team of operatives
Regular meeting between managers chaired by director to collate information on what works and what doesn't
Director to be constanly apraising results and chanelling extra monies and people to clubs not getting results
SL to either reduce to 12 or stay at 14 , London to become London SKY funded by you know who
1 New expansion club to be created ,funded and assisted but held in Championship 1 every three years

Close but no Bannana , all Championship clubs to collectively purchase a merchandice manufacturer and launch their own brand of sports wear , 10 % of all sales goes into the ' brand ' co to finance marketing and further collaberation between clubs , this allows for all clubs to recieve more profit depending on the amount or work and effort they are willing to put into it , ie If Skolars managed to get Spurs to use brand Z , then they would recieve a large commision , but all clubs would benifit via the 10 % to the brand
Eventually all merchandice sold via and through the ' Brand ' and potentially other business ventures looked at
All championship clubs to have an equal share of the manufacturing co and the Brand co

| Have a Super League 1 of 10 teams; put the other 4 with the top 7 of the championship (as that is where there's a natural gap) and the winner of the Elite League to make a SL2 of 12. Both leagues have the same rules (salary cap, forging player quota ECT) top of SL2 gets promoted, bottom of SL1 gets relegated then playoffs with the 2-5 of SL2 and the 2nd from bottom of SL1. All sky money to be split equally between all 22 teams. The Bottom of SL2 gets relegated into the championship/elite league and the winner of playoffs between the Championship top 5 and the winner of the elite league get promoted, no golden parachute reward of failure guaranteeing the relegated club comes straight back up instead the promoted club gets prize money to get them started, playing against Leigh, Widnes, Halifax, London ect they will have a chance to win a few, pick up a few points and perhaps survive and grow instead of getting thrashed by Warrington, Saints, Leeds ect like any club promoted from the championship into the current super league would now. There is a gap between The Championship and the Super league, there's a gap between the top and bottom of the super league so common sense would say make a new league filling that gap.
Then try and get back to 2 championships each of 10 by trying at attract new teams preferably in areas RL isn't played by close to the heartlands so news can spread by word of mouth and the teams would get away fans, places like Lancaster, Liverpool or a travelling team round the West Pennines (Bolton, Bury, Blackburn & Burnley)
Make up the lost games with regional cups (Lancashire cup, Yorkshire cup and a Southern, Welsh and French cup) that way you get more local derbies which attract more fans making more money for the clubs. Hence why SL2 should be bigger (as SL1 teams would stay in the cups longer and therefore play more games).
Have a variable salary cap which is reduced by X% for each European player you have, Y% for each English player you have, Z% for each local player you have and exempt any player you bring through your own academy from the salary cap calculations to encourage youth development.

| On a more serious note, Play conferences outside of SL, more local derbies makes for bigger gates and also play everyone in the other conference too.
