If we dont manage to stay in Super League for next season. With the likes of Toiulouse and Toronto in the same league, gates will be lower only Fax and Feathersone bringing any surporters. Revenue will be down sponsers few and far between how will the club survive. If we are relegated i can see the end in sight for LRLFC

I get called on here for negativity but this is one step to far in my opinion we been in super league before and I know it took ages get back in we did. If we do get relegated we need to get a Academy set up in place for the next time we return. I'm a firm believer that we should bring the A teams back will be better all round for the game

Not sure whether we would be allowed/could afford to run an Academy. However, one thing we have discovered this season, is that we need some form of backup squad, for when injuries & suspensions deplete our first team squad. We are currently having to run with a paper thin squad. Not many of our short term loan signings have been a big success, and possibly their loyalties tend to lie with their 'parent' club.

We still are potless,what makes you think different? Academies are an education,that's why they don't come cheap.

Being part of Leigh first academy in 1991, i must say not having one isnt great. There is an abundance of fantastic young players from Leigh, and everyone talks about Rowley, Baldwin and Martin but there were better players in the squad who didnt get a sniff.

I am sure Derek can afford the coach fares to games as us kids had a whale of a time training with the first team squad twice a week.

Staying in SL is massive, and it can restrict the pull of Leigh born players going elsewhere. Leighs loss has been Wires, Wigan and Staines gain for too long now !!

The kids are the future and RL seems to have lost its way a little bit.
