Probably not, if he'd pleaded guilty! A bit like Sam Barlow being persuaded, by his brief, to plead guilty to assault on the drug tester, even though, according to said brief, he hadn't laid hands on him!

I've got to be honest, this is awful. Why can't these two just shut the hell up and sit quietly in the background like all the other owners do. This is not the DB and MK show, we're supposed to be professional rugby clubs and these two morons are continually coming up with other ways to get themselves into the spotlight. If you ever go to rugby functions and people find out you're from Leigh, no one ever talks about the team, they just ask what our 'idiot owner' is going to come up with next. (This was asked to me just last week by another SL club owner).

Are your mates posting again? Surely the two owners are pulling this stunt and doing other things because they ARE capable of laughing at themselves. Bongser thinks DB is a good egg, furthermore he, Bongser, is warming to Marwan.

Christ he's not the messiah, I only called him a moron because he sometimes behaves like one and this is one of those times. He needs to stop meddling, stop making the club look ridiculous and shut up for a while. He's invested his money not donated a kidney and that just makes him a normal human being like the rest of us. He's a good bloke but he also behaves like an idiot at times. Big deal, don't we all.
I don't know, nor am I interested in how much DB is worth but supposing the money he's invested is only 1% of his wealth, or even 10% - we could all give a small proportion of our wealth away, it's no big deal and it doesn't make him special - just a man who happens to be wealthy enough to buy a team.
