Bought our North Stand tickets, just 2, Junior is going to her Nans & spoke to Leyther Matt in the office.
Matt tells me that the Pies have already sold more than their entire sales for last seasons fixture & estimates around 1300 will venture across the border in search of a better life !

I reckon the increase in travelling Pies is down to no Wigan cameras & therfore they can't all encourage each other to stay at home & watch it on Pie TV.

Matt also estimates an attendance of circa 5k (it is blame Matt day if all this is wrong), nice lad is Matt.

Anyhow, hope it is a good game & Wigan bring a strong squad for a change.

As it happens, with no Leigh matches in the off season I was very much at a spare end the other weekend, so I decided to make a flask of hot soup and caught the 582 up to Atherton Collieries to watch a game of association football. As I was sat pouring my hot soup at half time, a young gentleman said hello to me, walking past. I could not see who it was at first, and not wanting to scold myself mid pour, I had no idea who it was.

Only later did I spot Matt coming off and realise it was actually him. I must apologise to him for that.

Anyway back on topic, I can't wait for Sunday. It seems a very long time since the Leeds away match. I am going to go for an optimistic crowd of 6,000.

Wouldn't think its down to him needing a break but could be juksey putting an early marker down, saying no one even the captain doesn't automatically get in this team.

Plus at times last season when higham went off our game dropped, let's see if we've put that right.

Doesn't matter Glow we are only playing the Pies.
